About Me

GOLDFINGER c.s."What keeps me going back to the GOLDFINGER staff is not just their obvious creative excellence but the passion that they put behind your project. They're relentless and really care about your product. They_ll always be a part of my team." Multi-platinum Grammy award winner UsherHow does a decorated soldier of art and design remain influential in his craft, and what does it mean to be called a Creative Crusader? D.L. Warfield asks himself these questions occasionally, while focusing intensely upon his continuing battle for personal artistic accomplishment of the highest order and dedicating himself to his craft of creative excellence. With an impressive range of abilities that include graphic design, fine art, fashion and furniture design and merchandising, it is easy to recognize that as suggested by the name of his company, GOLDFINGER C.S., D.L. Warfield has the Midas touch.D.L._s relentless drive for higher creative ground has empowered him with tremendous experience and outstanding credentials, placing his signature style of creative service on an entirely different level than most of his would-be competitors. He attended Washington University_s School of Fine Arts under scholarship for Track and Field as well as Football where he was team captain for both sports, won several conference championships as a sprinter while earning a Bachelor_s Degree in Painting. Intent upon building an illustrious career from a foundational position as an intern for Edison Brothers Stores, Inc., the St. Louis native soon became designated as a Product Developer and Creative Consultant for the fashion retail corporation, creating logos and clothing designs for their super-successful Oaktree, Shifty_s and Factory brand divisions. Before long, Tommy Boy Records came calling, resulting in D.L._s acceptance of a new job as Head Designer of the powerful record label_s clothing line, which proved to be one of the most important decisions of his life. The move to Tommy Boy, which happened to be his first position within the music industry, won D.L. many invaluable contacts, eventually leading him from New York to Atlanta, and from the high ranks of Tommy Boy to an all new empire that awaited his presence - LaFace Records. With a whole new title and numerous new objectives as the resident Art Director, D.L._s tenure at LaFace gave him the opportunity to work with some of today_s hottest recording artists, simultaneously elevating his own reputation and gathering plenty of recognition throughout the music industry. Citing Usher, TLC, Toni Braxton, Outkast and Pink as some of his favorite assignments with LaFace, he also received critical acclaim for designing the album artwork for Outkast_s 1996 LP, ATLiens, Pinks Cant Take Me Home, Ushers My Way, 8701 and Confessions as well as TLCs success story, FanMail. Most recently he has been constructing artwork for Dreamworks recording artist Q-Tip as well as putting the finishing touches on Monicas Website. After LaFace shut its doors in 2000, D.L. took full advantage of the solid relationships that he had developed both inside and outside of the label and turned his already-burgeoning company into a full-fledged corporate force, with a client list that validated his decision to remain in Atlanta even before the quality of his work was factored into the equation. With contributions to Nike, Sprite, Anheuser-Busch, Bad Boy Records, Sony Music, Outkast Inc., Universal Records, Arista Records, HBO, Virgin Records, Coca-Cola, Adidas, Churchs Chicken, Vibe Magazine, One World, Black Enterprise, Playboy, Honey, 97.1 Jamz and GMC to name a select few. GOLDFINGER C.S. has become one of the most consistent creative service companies around. In 2002 DL was recognized and received a national award from Bacardi Liquor for being a Cultural Architect, and making major contributions in the area_s of visual media and branding in the urban, youth and entertainment markets.Warfield has constructed Illustrations, Album Artwork, Fashion, Website Design and more for artists such as Usher, Earth Wind & Fire, Monica, Alicia Keys, Lil Jon, Killer Mike, Goodie Mob, Earth Wind & Fire, T.I., Jazze Pha, Snoop Dogg, Swizz Beats, Mack 10, Silkk the Shocker, Youngbloodz, BoneCrusher, Nappy Roots, Truth Hurts and many more.
