..I'm one of the good guys. I like to associate with people who are 'the good guys' (or gals). To steal a line from a friend of mine, I'm unquestionably not full of myself. I'm very big on honesty & integrity, am a loyal person to my true friends and have been told I have a good heart, which is cool with me since I like being nice to people. I'd say I have great teachers in my family...my parents are kind, loving and giving people and my bro & sis are the same. I think being nice gets a bad rap alot of the time...many peeps think that means you're a pushover. For me though, nothing could be further from the truth. I'm laidback, non-judgemental and objective, but I have absolutely no qualms or fear in telling you exactly what I think or am feeling. So, if you don't want to know something, don't ask.
Part of the flip-side to being a nice guy is that I'm really pretty damn intense too. I expect a lot from my friends and even more from myself. I really place a lot of value in my friends and look to build friendships with unique and different types of people, but who also share my views on how to treat others. I really don't have time for or interest in those who are arrogant, belittling or just plain stupid. That doesn't only mean intelligence, but those type of peeps who don't realize that life isn't all a game or fairy tale. I like to play with the best of them, but there's a time to be real too.
I'm also pretty adventurous, a thrill seeker and a risk taker---I've cliff jumped, hiked/camped at 12,000 feet, and day traded for a living---but am keenly aware of potential consequences to everything I do. I may sound like a walking oxymoron, but somehow it all comes out to be a package I'm proud of, although I'm always trying to become a better person.
Speaking of playing, I love to travel with my buds, socialize with friends and I have to admit to having a mild addiction to the net! LOL! I dig on the arts---I've had season tickets to TUTS---and love a great flick. I am a driver...I grew up in a family where we took long National Lampoons/Chevy Chase driving vacations...so I love to be behind the wheel and see the world. Going about 100 MPH relaxes me, ;-). So far I've seen every state in the US but Hawaii, and have been to several international places...but there's so much more I'd like to do. I also love to play and watch sports--I played NAIA soccer in college for 2 years--and am a big college football fanatic. Even though we have sucked it up lately, I've got to give a big shout out to my boys at Texas A&M!!! We'll be back with a vengeance soon enough!! LOL
Well, enough chatter. If you want to know something, let me know....as I said before, I'm honest....I'll tell ya. C'ya!!
