Usually lost in thought, searching the horizon for something meaningful, while frozen in the moment and allowing time to pass by. I'm into everything artistic, creative, and poetic. Anything that's visually motivating or emotionally inspiring. Symmetry, synergy, fusion, contrast, and illumination. Nature, waterfalls, the oceans, and the natural world. Travel. Thunderstorms on a summer night, or any activity via moon light. Psuedo-intellectual conversations at 2am, coffee houses, sidewalks at night after the rain reflecting the colors of life. A phone call breaking the silence of 3am, letting you know you're missed. Urban skylines at dawn. Strolling through art museums, sculpture gardens and Zen gardens. Flora - orchids, iris, bonsai, bamboo, and Japanese maples. Studying martial-arts, and meditating to shut the world out. Nightlife. Guinness and Absolut Mandrin RedBulls. Shooting pool, dancing at clubs, or simply filling a corner table at a bar with my brothers while trading stories of nights gone by. Tailgating at drive-in movies on a summer's evening, bonfires in the fall with a close group of friends, and road trips without a destination. Taking it all in. Paintball, camping, boating, the outdoors, staying active and working out, while doing my best to stay healthy. Aqua di Gio Armani cologne. Cultural voyerism. Fashion. Never having enough closet space. Learning how to be yourself. Accepting people for who they are, and seeing through who they pretend to be. Looking back on it all, and knowing every moment was worth it.

Currently reading "The World Without Us" by Alan Weisman. It pertains to the survival of our planet after the human race faces mass extinction, and it's fascinating. I've always been a fan of the literary works of Brett Easton Ellis, Hunter S. Thompson, Irvine Welsh, Chuck Palahniuk, J.D. Salinger, Kurt Vonnegut, Aldus Hoxley, Gary Paulson, and Stephen King. I don't read nearly as often as I would like to, or as often as I should. I doubt anyone really does. In an age that's been inundated with technology, it's easy to over look activities that requires one's use of imagination. I think that's pretty sad. After the world burns, the cd's/dvd's melt away, and the hard drives fall silent, our essence and our beauty will still be written. Even if it's just scraps of paper that are discovered while sifting through the ashes of our fallen civilization.
