A touch of darkness hides your sight.
Covering those once bathed in light.
I only wished for my labyrinth silent ears.
To be heard amongst beings of clamour.
For I’ am the glass boy that you always regretted.
If we cannot establish that sense of selfhood,
Only retreat and entrenchment are the viable
alternatives to a schizophrenic and disturbed existence.
Only when we achieve a sense of personal integrity can we represent
Ourselves and be recognized - this is home, this is belonging.
