I love to journal. That is what keeps me from the brink of insanity, along with my other obsessive compulsive habits. I'm working on my 47th journal. I've been writing incessantly since I was 13. I also used to play a lot of MUDs (multi-user Dungeons & Dragons, text based, old school baby!) but now I play There.com most of the time. You can stalk me there, avatar name Dihtri. I write a little bit of poetry from time to time (more then, not so much now). I like to exercise, dance, eat healthy, bake cookies, make sock monkeys, tinker around in website design, make crafts, wear costumes, and go places where people wear costumes (Ren Faire, Comic Con, Themed Parties/Parades). I also like to observe society, individuals, and groups/cliques. People are such interesting creatures. I would travel not so much for the historical or visual, but more for the cultural aspect.
What Renaissance Performer are you?
You are a Street Character! Some folk have trouble striking up conversations with strangers, but not so for you! No one is safe from your attentions and it is your goal to guarantee that all comers leave with at least one direct interaction under their belt. You may not be the king or a knight, but theres a good bet people will remember you for a long time to come!

I grew up learning how to make music rather than just listening to it. I play piano, learned clarinet then switched to trombone for the rest of high school playing Symphonic, Wind Ensemble, and Jazz Band, and marching in parades and field shows. Yes, I was a Band Geek. I tinkered around with tenor sax one summer in high school and I have been playing the bass guitar for 2 years now. I also sang in a 5-6 piece contemporary church band for a year or two. My tastes in genre vary, and I won't classify myself by the type of music I listen to.
I don't watch too much TV. I'm out of that whole mainstream media thing but now that I have Netflix, I can catch up on some episodes minus the time hungry, brain consuming commercials. Some favorites include Firefly, Arrested Development, and Wonderfalls.
I like How-To books, craft books, blank books, and from time to time, one of those books you'd find in the self-help isle. I like to read about personality types and how they relate to other personalities. I'm not really into main stream fiction. Maybe if I took a literature class, but not on my spare time. I have too many stories of my own to write down. Recently I've been reading about different spiritual philosophies.
