Books:

Geez, lots of books... faves are by Marcinko (I'd love to meet Demo Dick!), Clancy, Sheldon, Ludlum, Grisham, Martini....(more but at a loss for memory, right now). I like non-fiction: bios, memoirs, military, history, true crime, mystery, and legal-based stories. I loved Dan Brown's Da Vinci Code (I'm also a big art history lover); but Angels & Demons didn't strike the same chord. Although, I still enjoyed the read. I've been known to pick up a Harry Potter book & read it with pure enjoyment, and the occassional trashy novel too. (smiles). Right now, I'm reading "The Power of Now" & "A Man Called Intrepid". My next book will be "April 1865: The Month That Saved America"... I can't wait.

Heroes:

American Soldiers (inclusive of all the branches of the military). They sacrifice their creature comforts, their personal rights for the greater good, and sometimes their own lives for the defense of this country to stand up for wrongs around the world and make them right, so it is safer for Americans, so American interests are protected and preserved. And as a result make the world a better place. They are selfless in their determination, banding as brothers, taking care of one another. They are skilled warriors, proud to serve this country, embodying the American spirit of courage and dedication. They deserve more than our thanks, but never ask for it.
Also, people who inspire others to be and do their best.
