You think I ain't worth a dollar, but I feel like a millionaire.

About Me

I tend to go with the flow and work with the cards dealt to me. I wont make a fuss much unless I know deep down that what's going on just isnt right. I love anything macabre or morbid, sarcastic or cynical. I wish Halloween happened more than once a year. Im one of the most cocky people you'll meet, but Im insanely self-depricating at the same time (Im not quite sure how I do it). I aim to make others laugh and my sense of humor is always on. Im always singing or dancing and tend to drag others into it. I love art; photography and crafting (ie, knitting, crocheting, stenciling, sewing) are my main hobbies. I hope to open a vegan cafe in the city. I am starting to find out what happiness means to me and it's been insanely rewarding. I do what needs to be done and do what I feel is right and that's what the secret to life is.

My Interests

Things that go bump in the night, the feeling someone's watching from the street.

I'd like to meet:

"Nothing’s quite worse than meeting some really promising guy or girl and then realizing that he or she is an Escalade-driving, non-recycling, Earth fucker-upper."

Jerks. People who laugh. Horror movie enthusiasts. Music addicts. Zombies. Pirates. Vegans to swap recipes with. People who appreciate nights with a Dirty Thirty and a table full of friends. Just be real with me and we'll have no problems.

Music:

Radiohead, Wilco, Modest Mouse, Sigur Ros, Elliott Smith, The Absence, The Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Clinic, Ray Lamontagne, Beck, Alkaline Trio, Cursive, The Album Leaf, Patrick Wolf, Iron & Wine, Boris, Godspeed You! Black Emperor, TV on the Radio, Rob Zombie, Dropkick Murphys, Blur, Nine Inch Nails, Explosions in the Sky, World Inferno Friendship Society, and related bands/artist.

Basically, anything that can be considered indie, alternative, underground, folk, blues, Irish/Scottish, ambient, drone, industrial, heavy/death metal, or rock. The only exception is anything that falls into those genres, but is bad or Top 40. I dont do bad music.

Movies:

The Royal Tenenbaums (and Wes Anderson in general), 28 Days/Weeks Later, High Fidelity, Silence of the Lambs, Thumbsucker, Empire Records, Planet Terror, Vanilla Sky, Pulp Fiction, Fight Club, Harold and Maude, The Great Escape, Casablanca, Lost in Translation, Boondock Saints, Scarface, Taxi Driver, Harold and Kumar Go To White Castle. Most horror movies and Brat Pack movies.

Television:

The History Channel, The Discovery Channel, sports (especially the NBA... I love my Pistons!), Metalocolypse, American Gladiators.

Books:

I Hope They Serve Beer in Hell, World War Z, anything by Chuck Palahniuk and Bret Easton Ellis, Lord of the Flies, Sex, Drugs, and Cocoa Puffs, Final Exits, The God Delusion. The ultimate favorite, however, is Where The Wild Things Are... I love that book.

Heroes:

Anyone who tests my morals, values, or ideals because, til then, you really dont know what you stand for.

My Blog

Lowered Expectations.

Karen O., I might really love you.

People can be so ugly. In my day to day existence (generally at work, because that's my life right now), I find myself encountering people who are rude, condescending, incoherent, incompetent, lacking...

Wash laundry with cold water.

It's kind of a bummer when you realize that you just have a general disinterest for most things that occur during the day. Outside the realm of friends/family, cooking/crafting, music, my job, and fan...

I went to the doctor today.

...for the first time since 2004. So I find it ridiculous to say that I hate the doctor; it's uncomfortable and weird, especially if you come from a family who really believes that every physical ailm...
