I'm a Rock Vocalist, Lighting Engineer, Stage Manager and poor student.
I'm in my final year studying Professional Music Practice Foundation Degree at South Birmingham College in Digbeth.
At the moment i am concentraiting more on learning about Lighting and Stage Management and also the ins and outs of Promoting a live event. Singing will always be my first love, but at the moment i am keen to get my kicks elsewhere.
When ive finished studying i hope to work in a music venue as a Lighting Engineer or teach Music Practises to young adults in a college.
I do some beginners band mixing and recording using Logic 8, Cubase 4. Recently i recorded 3 tracks for SpeedTheory using Logic 8 at South Birmingham College.
Got lots of projects on the go at the moment, lighting and stage management for a fashion show in Birmingham, lighting for St Patricks Day show at college, lighting for various dvd shoots and live gigs for various fellow students and outside bands and working on my final major project.
ALSO! Now promoting gigs under the name TJR Promotions, first event will be on 26th March at Scruffy Murphys in Birmingham featuring some propper good bands!
My favourite mics to use for live Vocals are the obvious Shure SM58, Shure Beta 57 and my cheap and chearful Behringer UltraVoice XM8500. For studio recordings i like the AKG Solid Tube and Beyer Ribbon.
My prefered stuff to sing is Rock n Roll and Heavy Metal (no screaming for me tho)
