About Me

MASTER NESTOR D. RODRIGUEZ (4TH DEGREE BLACK BELT)
In 1980 Master Rodriguez began training in Taekwon-Do in New Haven, Connecticut at the age of 15, until he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in June of 1983. Master Rodriguez decided to resume his Taekwon-Do training in February of 1993. He joined a Taekwon-Do school in Middlebury, Vermont.
In October of 1994 the Taekwon-Do school in Middlebury, Vermont was transferred to a new owner and Master Rodriguez became an assistant instructor. Also in October of 1994 Master Rodriguez was honored to have been accepted as a student of Masters Richard and Laurie Dion.
In May of 1995 Master Rodriguez decided to open his own school in Port Henry, New York and named it Moriah Martial Arts Center. On August 18th, 1995, Master Rodriguez received his 1st Degree Black Belt through the TransAmerican Taekwon-Do Federation.
On June 15th, 2004 Master Rodriguez accomplished one of his goals by testing and receiving his 4th Degree Black Belt through the TransAmerican Taekwon-Do Federation. Thus starting a new journey in Taekwon-Do at the Master level.
It is my dedication to and the love of Taekwon-Do that has enabled me to embark on my journey of personal growth. My goal is to return to Taekwon-Do all that has been given to me by sharing my knowledge and guiding those who have made a similar decision.
