About Me

I'm an optimistic cynic. I love other people's idiosyncrasies and am consistently fascinated by the human race. I'm opinionated, but always keep an open mind. I wait in both fear and anticipation of the unknown. I cling to my comfort zone, but want desperately to move away from it. I love knowing someone new but hate the process of getting there. I ask too many questions but am sincerely interested in the answers. I am confident in who I am but always question if I'm making the right decisions. I am a hopeless romantic that loves independence. I am strong, but I cry at the drop of a hat.I recently moved back to Lakewood and couldn't be happier about it. My two lovely roommates and I live on Brockley (the street, not the food) and are always up to some sort of trouble. You can usually find us at The Richland, Two Bucks, The Garage Bar, or a few other of Lakewood's fine liquor dispensing establishments.Due to a series of "I don't want to do this so I guess I'll do that" decisions in my life, I now manage an Italian restaurant. My days are spent apologizing, solving mundane problems, and swallowing my pride on a regular basis. I know, I know, you're feeling really sorry for me right now, but don't, all in all it's not a bad gig.

My Interests

My ongoing pursuit of finding my passion

I'd like to meet:

I'd like to meet anyone interesting and stimulating (mentally or otherwise.) I also like hearing from those of you I haven't seen or spoken to in a long while. It's interesting to see how everyone changes over the years. I know I'm certainly not the same person I was 7 years ago.

Music:

Radiohead, INXS, Modest Mouse, Pixies, Sonic Youth, Postal Service, Dashboard Confessionals, Elton John, James Taylor, The Shins, Blind Melon, Cake, Police, REM, U2, The Jayhawks, Tori Amos, Sarah Mclaughlan, Violent Femmes, John Legend, Kanye West, Pharell

Movies:

Death to Smoochie, Eternal Sunshine, Donnie Darko, Pretty Woman, Forrest Gump, Garden State, Kill Bill, Go, Office Space, American Psycho, Ghost World, Suicide Kings, In America, Dead Poet Society

Television:

As much as I would love to put down the discovery channel and CNN, unfortunately my DVR is currently flooded with reality garbage. My other guilty pleasure, which I am not sure why I'm admitting to in a public forum, is ABC Family original movies. It's the worst two hour juvenile cheesefest ever, but I love it.

Books:

We recently spent $100 at Borders and I've yet to crack a cover. I think Glamorama is first on my list. Someone give me some "oh my goodness, best book ever" motivation.
