Biography
SUPERTRAIN formed in the heady internationalism of inner-city Melbourne in early 2005. Guille's (keys) background in the Lima scene had to be transferred to an English context with only his luggage and a bunch of incredible songs, and things fell into place after meeting 'Gorgeous' (vocals), whose lyrical gifts were immediately evident. After the return of Maradona (guitar) from an overseas spiritual-sojourn the basic line-up was complete. Maradona's Year-12 kid brother, Jonnyboy (drums), was the obvious choice to back the rhythm section. A natural behind the kit, his endless commitment to women, drugs and Renaissance History only fuelled the legend.Searching for a bassist proved difficult at first but a perfect candidate was found in Angus 'Toughy' Miller, an old friend of flawless pedigree. Rehearsals commenced somewhere in the surrounding Melbourne suburbia and it seemed all too easy for the quintet, songs flowed like the proverbial milk and honey and it was only too soon before the band hit the live scene. Since their formation, Supertrain have proven their chops in various Melbourne venues, instantly becoming heroes of the block. The band are currently busy gigging, songwriting and preparing for the recording of their upcoming EP.Give us a listen, tell us what you think and wait with bated breath for our imminent triumph.
