About Me
The road to success and stardom is attempted by many, but only completed by few. Even fewer are able to ride out that road all the way, especially, when the destination is breaking into the music industry. Yet, for the new group, I-15 (also the interstate that connects Las Vegas to LA), this ride should be a breeze, because like the interstate they are named after, it's a straight shot. The members of the group consist of two singers and one rapper, Castro native of Las Vegas, Daz, native of Chicago and Flash of Compton. With multiple talents such as songwriting, dancing, producing, rapping and singing, this trio could be what many people would consider the male version of TLC. With the charisma and talents they possess both equally and individually, these undeniable stars are equipped and fully prepared for this long journey that lies ahead.Although these guys are only 20 and 21, they are slightly seasoned, in the aspect that they have been doing this music thing since their early teens. "It started in high school", says Castro, "singing to the ladies, rhyming and writing, with hopes of mapping out our future of entertaining the world and impacting people with our talents." Even though both directions of the actual interstate I-15 lead to what many would call "fairy-tale cities" this story is far from a fairy-tale. Combined with being broke, the hunger to succeed, and coping with real life situations, the trips down I-15 from Vegas to LA, which consisted of recording records and occasionally meeting the right people, were the desperate strides needed to make their dreams into a reality."After once being a solo artist", Flash, the rapper of the group, states he is motivated and inspired by his other two counterparts. They all pay homage to such great artists as Stevie Wonder, Smokey Robinson, Jeffery Osborne, Luther Vandross, Jay-Z, Nas, Usher, and LL Cool J, just to name a few even though their list is seemingly endless. With a mixture of west coast, some Chi-town style to even a little ATL down south crunk, these guys are going to make the ladies move and rock.I-15 as a project is a state of urgency. And with the youthful ears of today's radio programmers and mixshow DJ's, the insurgence of the Myspace movement and the ever growing need for a new sound and new faces, I-15 is sure to be the next best thing.
