Da Uzuel Suzpecz are mainly comprised of 2 MC's. However, as time passes, they have been noted as having a numerous cast of characters. The groups name originates from the hit movie entitled "The Usual Suspects" starring Kevin Spacey.
Although, for these MC's, the name carries a deeper meaning. Mostly, because it seems that, for a young black male in George W. Bush's type of America the general public has a tendency to cast these young gentlemen as societies usual suspects. Despite being pillars of the community despite redefining the appearance of a black man despite their diligence to civic duty they are still... usually suspected by law enforcement still... implicated by stool pigeons and still... regarded as troublemakers. So with that, Nolte aka Mr. Make It Happen decided to positively redirect all the negative energy. From the back alley to the sound booth, from street corners to front and center stage, from crack to (as Kanye West said it) crack music. Diligently, he has forged a supportive following through a San Francisco Bay Area based campaign.
Via this campaign he recruited fresh new members such as: FooFoo Fcukin' Freeman, Swiggalini tha Don, Silky aka Xris Styles, and our newest, youngest addition as of 2006... Lil Brah the General
Lil Brah, born in San Francisco, Ca., has come to our organization with a fresh, new, innovative perspective as well as a veterans work ethic. Inspired by his older brother Charles Charlie Manhattan Williams, Lil Brah has been a performing artist for the past ten years, beginning at the age of eleven. Lil Brah carries a strong stage presence as well as a powerful deliver, which are the reasons why he was recruited. Lil Brah has been featured on G-Mans Critical Living Compilation that features The Game, San Quinn and J.T. The Bigga Figga.
Since the birth of Da Uzuel Suzpecz in 2001 these young entertainers have graced various stages along the west coast. Some of the notable venues are Great America in Ca., Maritime Hall in San Francisco Ca. (closed now), Blakes in Berkeley Ca., The "See Alice Run Concert" in Golden Gate Park, San Francisco Ca., The "Benbow County Fair" in Benbow Ca., "We Carnival" in Santa Cruz Ca., The Space Needle Concert Hall in Seattle Wa., The Fat Cat in Modesto Ca., Ruby Skye in San Francisco and "MTV's DIRECT EFFECT" in South Beach Lake Tahoe Ca.
Besides keeping the club crackin' Da Uzuel Suzpecz give back to their, as well as, other communities via various benefits, (Katrina, 9/11) charity events, (feed the homeless, stop the violence, educate our youth) and various political rallys that promote empowering the people. As of 2006 Da Uzuel Suzpecz have begun fundraising endeavors for political entities such as the San Francisco Green Party.
As of 2005 Da Uzuel Suzpecz have ventured into new territories with help from some of the Bay Area's up and coming industry hopefuls. From Spoken Word, in association with Colored Ink, to Fashion, in association with Eve Adams, from Neo Soul, in association Kayla Marin, to Drum & Bass, in association with Ju of San Francisco Bass Beats. Meanwhile, the list grows daily.
In 2006 our team grew even stronger. We added the powerhouse promotion team of "SPICEY PROMOTIONS" lead by Dj Smocha and we added the business savvy of Fred Gillatine Rustrian of "MAJESTY RECORDS".
