About Me

"japaned, a detailing in musicianship and pornography"- by Jesse Leonard
Listening to the 5 piece musical phenomenon Japaned can easily be compared to watching five spectacular pornos all at once. for the first minute you are completely stunned by the sheer quality of what you are witnessing. each video and musician offers different aspects of what you are dying to see. paul rousseau's guitar virtuoso is like the blonde bombshell who has the kind of skills you can only afford with a human soul as legal tender. prodigy kevin king, while identical to paul rousseau in actual instrument still hold his own qualities like say a different hair colour, body size, or skin tone. the differences are hard to pin point but the end result is two similar beings each with their very unique identities, styles, and parts. andrew basso, with his heavy low sound is akin to the "large and in charge" variety of women. and like any accomplished large performer of the adult arts, you are in awe of how fast and elegantly they move for something of such great weight and size. vocalist and center point daniel tremblay is like the ordinary looking gal who's throat seems to have no barriers. the feats accomplished with that mouth make you question the very limitations of the human body. and the youngin' jon nolan is the barely legal teen who captivates you partly for the incomprehensible talent, and partly because you have to wonder - how the hell do they know how to do those moves when they are THAT young?.
finally, after the shock and indecision wears off you are suddenly faced with a serious dilema. which of the five should you give your attention to? I mean they're all just so damn good you don't even know which to pick. Eventually however you do settle on one but the whole time you're going at it, in the back of your mind you wondering what you could be missing out on. you know that what you have is great, but you can't shake the idea that maybe something even better is going on with the other four. the curiosity is too much to bear and your attention switches from spot to spot, each time being completely captivated by the skill at hand but also having the same nagging question hanging in the air - WHAT AM I MISSING IF JUST THIS ONE IS THAT GOOD?. however, when all is said (and you are done) you know with certainty that what you just experienced is a rarity. that kind of quality is so hard to find you might even think it a fluke, never to happen again for years to come. a musical event equivalent to halley's comet passing earth, the blooming of the corpse flower, or a vulcan mating season. but of course these boys aren't going anywhere, except band practice, the tour van, and your town's venue.
