Just Rhymin' With Kane...

About Me

In 1982 when I was 7-years-old I heard Grandmaster Flash & The Furious Five's seminal classic "The Message"......and have been a Hip-Hop junkie ever since.Although I was writing for various publications for a few years beforehand, I'm probably best known for my fortnightly Hip-Hop column in Blues & Soul magazine which I contributed from 2000 until the UK-based publication went out of business in 2007. In the past I've also written for the likes of The Source, The Ave and Trace and am currently contributing to a number of mags and websites, including Hip-Hop Connection, iDJ, Big Smoke, Shook, www.xxlmag.com (US), www.ukhh.com (UK), www.hhnlive.com (Canada), www.sixshot.com (US), www.straighouttanow.com (UK) and www.hiphop.cn (China). I've been 'in print' for twelve years now and during that time have been fortunate enough to interview everyone from KRS-One, Big Daddy Kane and Large Professor, to 50 Cent, LL Cool J and Mary J. Blige.Any artists with good music looking for some press exposure please feel free to get in touch. You can also check out my blog at www.oldtothenew.wordpress.com.
