24: What you been up to lately?Torch: Working on that "Trilla" which is Ross' second album, that's a movie, the music coming out in November. Also finishing up that "Black Flag" album. We're just updating it because it got pushed back till after "Trilla" and of course my solo album "Needle Chamber Of The Chair" which is coming after Gunplay album "Kill Switch." We just have so much thing’s going on right now!24: Who are some of the producers you worked with for the album so far?Torch: We been working with producers like Cool & Dre of course, we got a beat from the Neptunes, DJ Toomp, J Rock and some up and coming producers also. It’s going to be a movie believe that.24: What type of response have you been getting back from the streets after the release of "The Black Flag" (Prequel) mixtape?Torch: It’s been crazy! I did not even know so many people had that mixtape. I was in the market the other day and people were asking for picture and shit. I got a better response from the mixtape then all the videos I have been in. The music is really getting out their people are calling me and talking about "Make A Move," its crazy right now.24: What separates Triple C’s from other rap groups?Torch: There’s always a group that’s before their time and we're that group, everyone is expecting the clichÈ stuff but the people are going to be real excited when they hear the album because we tried a lot of different things and it worked. People are going to see Ross, Torch and Gunplay do things that some might only expect a New York artist to try.24: How is it going into your own project compared to a Triple C’s project?Torch: Well you know I made my whole name as a writer and being so versatile on the mic, so it's like when I’m doing the Triple C’s project, it might be a more southern beat and I’ll blend in compared to my solo where I kind of got back to that New York vibe as far as the beat selection goes. But I can spit it any way you bring it so at the end of the day my versatile flow will adapt to any beat. On "Needle Chamber Of The Chair" I’m taking it back to the hoody’s and timberland’s, we getting it back in!24: How did you end up getting together with Rick Ross being from the Bronx and what part of the Bronx are you from?Torch: Well, a long time ago I caught a little case and my mother sent me to Miami to get out of trouble and I ended up in more trouble. And Ross was the one that really showed me how things work down here and how no one really stand on corners and sell, they trap in houses and shit. This was way before the rap shit, when it came to rap we were just fucking with it, we used to go as "CCK" we use to go as "Murder INC" and it ended up "CCC." This back when he was Teflon. We have been down since 98/99 when I was 15/16 years old. So to see it all come to what it is now is too much to handle, but you know the gift and the curse because I don’t get to see my family but I would not rather do anything else in the world.24: You have been around Rick Ross through the high’s and low’s so what have you learned about the music industry from being right there hands on that will help your career from these experiences?Torch: The best thing I can say about him that I learned is that he knows how to pick the people around him. That's one of the most important keys to this game, is having the right people around you. This game is full of opportunists so the biggest thing you have to do is keep the right people around you because niggaz is snakes, point blank. Everyone is trying to get ahead of you and only a few is going to shine. So as long as you got the right people in your corner you should be successful!24: What’s next in line for Triple C’s?Torch: Man yall look out for that "Maybach Music" (mixed by DJ Kronik includes the mixtape and a trailer for M.I. YaYo the movie) it’s going to be a monster. Trust me it’s going to be too much.
