The California Dennis Kucinich for President 2008!I like lots of things. I am one of those people where the smallest thing can keep me entertained for hours or have me bored in seconds. I love the art of making theatre and vocal music. Those are two of my passions in life. I like to go to Starbucks and sit with friends and discuss things like queer theory and social construction and figure out why we as individuals operate the way we do and things of that nature. I love food. I will eat just about anything once.
I am looking to meet people who think outside the box. Who see the subjectivity and oppression that minority communities face on a daily basis, and who want to create social change and just make the world and the people in a better place to live. Basically I am looking for people who are advocates, people who have a passion and will do anything to fight for it.
Music is an awesome thing. I truly thing that there is a song for every mood we have and will ever be in. My taste in music is very wide yet acquired. I love indie/folk artists like Ani DiFranco and Angie Evans to hip hop artist like Kanye West and Missy Elliot to name a few. I think I have like 40 days worth of music on my I Tunes. Some more of my faves include Corinne Bailey Ray, Alicia Keys, Evanesence, and so much more!
OMG, can we just say that I love movies!!! I love all kinds of movies from independent movies to horror or chick flicks, action thrillers to cartoons. Some of my favorite include The 10th Kingdom, Aladdin, The Triplets of Belleview, Jurassic Park, Clue, The Little Mermaid, Rent, Must Love Dogs, Peter Pan, V for Vendetta, Batman, Spiderman, Indiana Jones, etc.
Well as of lately I haven't been watching T.V. that much. I just don't have that much time. However, I am addicted to HEROS on NBC. Its an amazing show about modern day people and how they deal with superhero powers and dealing with acceptance of being unique. Some of my other shows that I watch usually when they come to DVD are Friends, Will and Grace, The L Word and I love documentaries that are on LOGO.
Well this reading for recreational and intellectual growth is one of those things that I am really trying to work on. I just got a few books of interest that I want to start reading. "Death of a Revolutionary: Che Guevara's Last Mission" by Richard L. Harris and another called "The End of Gay and the Death of Heterosexuality", I forget the author's name however.
