I edited my profile with Thomas' Myspace Editor V4.1
We now have all 21 of the original Blister Tone recordings from all 3 albums, "My Town", "Born Again Losers", and "Welcome To Our Neighborhood"!
We will be putting them up 6 at a time for a week or so.
Please leave comments and let us know your favorite Blister Tune as they are sometimes called....
This is a band that played the East Coast college circuit in the late 80s and their original tunes still rock today! They were definitely a band that were way ahead of their time!
The Band was together from 1986 to 1989. Three years and 3 albums of great original Rock Tunes. There were about 100 original songs in their show, but only 21 were ever professionaly recorded and put onto cassettes.
Two of the albums were released to the public, "My Town" and "Born Again Losers". The third album, "Welcome To Our Neighborhood" was never released and thought to be their best album yet!
The band broke up in 1989 and the album never made it to the public.
Rob Skane wrote most all of them and all three guys sang them. One of the greatest power trio's that never got the chance to make it big. They were huge on the Northeast College scene. If you ever saw any of their shows, you know what I'm talking about....
From what we know, Rob Skane is still out there playing in the Albany, NY area. Click on his name to go to his MySpace page.
Sean Trinkaus is playing with a band called
"Gregg Yeti and the Best Lights" , playing drums.
Mike Zarnock still plays drums here and there and sings whenever he can. His main focus today is writing books and magazine stuff about Hot Wheels cars. You can read more about him at www.MikeZarnock.com
Their songs are still being played on radio shows across Europe today.
It would really be cool to see these guys get back together and do another show. Maybe with a little coaxing, that could happen???? Hint, Hint....
Anyway, click on the names and it will take you to each guys MySpace page.
Here is an old Video of a FOX TV Christmas show that the Blister Tones did back in the late ..80's. Thanx to who ever put it out there!
