My Interests

I love playing sports and doing active, physical stuff. Playing football, basketball, soccer...whatever, throw a ball, I'll chase it. I also really like playing in the mountains and ocean. Hiking, mountain biking, snowboarding, snorkeling, body boarding etc. Love it. Sometimes though, there is nothing better than getting warm and comfy in sweats on a couch and watching a movie, or getting alone and reading. I also am passionate about the human body, learning about it, how it works, how to fix it. Hmmm what else...my favorite animal is a wolf; I can peel an orange in one peel; I believe strongly in integrity and I'm greatful for life - what an amazing blessing huh?

I'd like to meet:

Jesus, and be able to one day come to him in joy and confidence that I lived a life worth living.

Music:

I like good country, songs that tell a story or bring back a memory. I also like alternative, classics from the 60's and 70's, worship, and cultural.

Movies:

My favorite movies are epic classic types based on true stories: Braveheart, Remember the Titians, and Cinderella Man. Stupid funny ones are a blast with the right people: Ace Ventura, Big Daddy etc. And like everyone else there's a little spot in my heart for the good Disney Movies: Robin Hood, The Lion King, Aladdin.

Television:

I feel blessed to have grown up an American without a TV. That said, there are some shows I love. Sadly though my all time favorite is probably still the X-Men cartoon series that came out about ten years ago.

Books:

The Bible-multiple authors, The Four Loves-C.S. Lewis, Generation Kill-forgot the author, The Encylopedia of Modern Bodybuilding-Arnold Schwartzenegger.

Heroes:

Heroes change with interests as the years pass by, but all in some way have contributed to where my life has gone. My Dad and older brother Caleb have been pretty constant for as long as I can remember. Elementry School it was Joe Montana, Middle School was Wolverine. My freshman year of high school I really looked up to a Senior named Mark Stosich. Then late High school and early college was Arnold, Steeve Reeves and Bill Philips. King David is who I want to be more like. There is no greater example of a man that lived with passion. He was a mighty and savage warrior while in battle, then he would be on his face in tears and humility crying out to God. David loved so passionately he sinned greatly and risked his kingdom, he worshiped God so uninhibited he exposed himself. He cared what God thought above all and lived powerfully in courage and service.
