Buddhafied

Buddhafied is the brain child of Buda Rock (Will Almeida) a Brazilian born MC who migrated to Australia with his family in the early 70's. Having supported many international Hip Hop acts who have graced Australian shores in the late 80's right through to the mid 90's, Buda decided that he wanted to create his own unique urban sound so he incorporated live instrumentation with turntabalism, loops and Brazilian percussion to create what is now a truly recognized Buddhafied sound. Buddhafied currently has an album out called Dialect of Reason which is getting local air play and nationally. The single "Get Up" which was dedicated to the art of B Boying was on the triple J top 100 charts and was awarded single of the week on FBI radio. The group has also appeared on many music shows such as Spin TV and Alchemy, Rage and also on the Planet X games on channel 10. Buddhafied are a versatile unit which caters for all styles of Hip Hop/Rap. The bi lingual skills of MC Buda cuts through the grooves and the always political message shines through to the heart of any hip hop purist. With a heavy dancehall influence on tracks such as Wicked Tongue and Mystical Maneuvers, Buddhafied shows its diversity and quickly gathers any crowds attention.
