About Me

Sex Votes & Rock n Roll: Trumystic "Blows you away" with their stripped down approach of getting people to the polls.
Trumystic, the powerhouse live dub alliance of the Northeast, has long been known for blending styles of music from different cultures with ease. Can they just as easily make the seemingly bland culture of politics seem, well, sexy?Kirsty Rock, lead singer of Trumystic, does just that in the video for their new single "Blow Me Away." Armed with little more than a black bikini, motorcycles, a helmet (safety please!), and a billowy white scarf, she struts the streets of a picturesque New England town enticing everyone to get to the polls and vote. She is the pied piper, singing to the world, "If tomorrow didn't bring a brighter day, it wouldn't be the same . . . we can change." Will you follow?Laced with political undertones and cinematic music and imagery, the video challenges you to think for yourself. Do they want you to think outside the box? Kirsty Rock says, "Stuff your ballot IN the box. Get out and vote!" When asked how she felt about her wardrobe for the video she said, "No, I'm not comfortable shooting a music video in my bikini, however, I will do anything to get my point across." The video was directed by Trumystic's bass player, Reggie Burrows Hodges. Like everything Trumystic does, this video was produced on their own terms, time, and dime.Trumystic will be releasing their newest record, "Paradise," in 2009, on TMG Records (Truth Music Green). Trumystic founded TMG in 2005 to ensure that they will always be able bring you high quality, honest, and independent music and entertainment. Thanks for supporting truly independent art.

Sounds Like: Kirsty Rock, who contributed the gripping vocals to Dub Side Of The Moon’s “Great Gig In The Sky,” may be one of the top five female singers music fans probably aren’t fully aware of…yet.
