The Scorchers formed in the Fall of 2002 in Augusta, GA. Home of the God Father of Soul...James Brown for those who have never heard of Augusta. The Scorchers consist of Jayson Sabo (lead vocals, guitar) Michael Baideme (backing vocals, lead guitar) Brooks Andrews (bass) and Russell Jarrett (drums). We have an eclectic sound of The Allman Bros meet Zeppelin, The Black Crowes, Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Ray and The DOORS all rolled into one! Sabo's raspy vocals take you back to a smoke filled basement bar with a hint of Joe Cocker and Gregg Allman, and will have you singing along with all his catchy tunes until the AM. Michael Baideme can best be described as SRV jamming in your living room with dim lights and incence floating throughout. He will take you on a journey with his melodic blusey riffs and create a moment of music you will never forget. Brooks is our little brother you would swear was really Barry Oakley and John Paul Jones. His chest pumping backbone bass playing will mesmorize you into a eurphoric frenzie and leave you speachless! Russell has an element all to himself. With his Jazzy beats to his blusey fills....Russ commands the crowd while he makes you think that playing the drums is an easy task. With only one live experience with the Scorchers, you will then know why they are one of the spotlighted bands in the South-East. You can expect to find the Scorchers playing in GA, SC, NC, FLa, Al, and TN.
