"I'd rather be hated for what I am than to be loved for what I'm not."
Life's full of changes, and it's all about how you adapt to those changes that build character. I was tired of the old background, but if you want to see it or need help with making an advanced layered background using CSS scripts, just IM me. My old site is http://www.myspace.com/sluggydoug2.
Nothing in life is ever guaranteed, and I've been enjoying myself these past few months. I'm working out at Camp Robinson and have been thinking a lot about active duty. I've also been thinking about going back to school for my masters. Law school is also appealing to me. The way I see it is that I'm only 23, and I'm not so sure I'm ready for a career at this stage in my life. You can't ever have enough education, right?
So a little about me... I'm Christian, but I listen to all different kinds of music, watch evertything from disney and pixar movies to action and killing movies, and tend to curse more than I would like. I'm actually working on the language though. I have recently been spending a lot of time with MMA (Mixed Martial Arts). I love hanging out with friends and making new ones, but I still haven't met too many in Little Rock. I tend to meet a lot of older people with my job, but would love to make some more friends my own age. I've never really been a big partier. I enjoy working out. I want to spend less time on the internet and more time on doing other, more productive things. I used to spend too much time on the computer. I want to read more and learn more. There's a lot I don't know. Summer is my favorite season of the year. I love sports, and I really like being in or around water. I don't own a boat, but there's nothing wrong with "swimmin' with the women." I'm sure the guys can back me up on that one. A beautiful woman is like a piece of art... and in a bikini, that's like a Monet masterpiece.
In the future, I would love to learn to play the guitar and the piano. I would love to retire as a millionaire. I would love to earn a black belt. I want to travel all over the world. I want to learn more about taxes and how you can save money from tax writeoffs. I would love to learn more about real estate. I would love to learn how to cook. I would like to read the Bible from cover to cover. I would like to do something great and help others. I would like to own a boat and a nice lake or beachfront property. I want to get married and have some kids. I want to be successful. I would love to learn more about landscaping. Obviously, I probably won't do all of these things, but if I make enough goals... I'm obviously going to achieve some of them.
Do everything without complaining or arguing so that you may become blameless and pure, children of God without fault in a crooked and depraved generation, in which you shine like stars in the universe
-Philippians 2:14-15
There's a lot that people don't know about me, but there's not really enough room to write it on here. All I can say is that I have high expectations and would like to accomplish my goals and dreams one day. Some people like to think of me as negative, but I think I'm just the voice or realism. However, I do have a lot of dreams. I wish that people could walk down the street and feel safe and that people wouldn't kill someone or harm someone just because they felt like it. I hate hearing negative stuff on the media, and for once I'd like to see some people make a difference. Most of the time, people choose to turn the other cheek. I hate seeing people make rash decisions based on a boyfriend or a girlfriend. I'd like everyone to be independent enough to manage their own lives. It seems that everyone makes mistakes with relationships. It's just if you continue to make the same mistake; then, is it really a mistake at all? Then, it just becomes stupidity.I love to travel and spend time with friends and family.
Don't forget to be kind to strangers. For some who have done this have entertained angels without realizing it.
-Hebrews 13:2
"Cowards die many times before their deaths,
The valiant never taste of death but once."
A little about me: I'm from L.A. (Lower Arkansas). For all those who like to talk bad about AR and the South (including me at times), it's really not that bad here. I think life is all about how you make it. I actually am loving Little Rock so far. I like to chat or meet new, random people.

"As we grow up, we learn that even the one person that wasn't supposed to ever let you down probably will. You will have your heart broken probably more than once and it's harder every time. You'll break hearts too, so remember how it felt when yours was broken. You'll fight with your best friend. You'll blame a new love for things an old one did. You'll cry because time is passing too fast, and you'll eventually lose someone you love. So take too many pictures, laugh too much, and love like you've never been hurt because every sixty seconds you spend upset is a minute of happiness you'll never get back."
"Love is patient; love is kind and envies no one.
Love is never boastful, nor conceited, nor rude; never selfish, not quick to take offense.
Love keeps no score of wrongs; does not gloat over another's sins, but delights in the truth. There is nothing love cannot face; there is no limit to its faith, its hope, and its endurance.
In a word, there are three things that last forever: faith, hope, and love; but the greatest of them of all is love." - 1 Corinthians 13
