Shawn Lov's follow up LP to 2004's "The Blackout of 1977" is currently in the works- a release date is pending it's completion. Titled, "Waiting For A Ghost," Lov calls this album the "most intense and personal album" of his career. Including production from NuffSaidRecords in house producers "Prowla" who has a long celebrated list of accomplishments in overseas hip-hop and newcomer "Methodz" who has collaborated with NuffSaid in the past, Shawn is also producing some of this album on his own along side Trenton Natives Tony D (Poor Righteous Teachers Fame) and Fatha Ramzee (a veteran DJ and producer from the area). With a short but impressive list of guest appearances along with the direction of Prowla from NuffSaid, Flaves Ent and DJ Iron Mike, this album is as much a collaborative effort of Lov's closest affiliates as it is a solo album. As it reaches an end, there will be more details to come- A Sincere thanks to all of Shawn's supporters and fans!
The Lostralian’ is the eagerly awaited debut solo album from Delta, one of Australia’s most highly regarded and lyrically gifted MC’s, and marks a new era for Australian hip hop. It tells the story of promises kept between long term friends, unified across the globe in the struggle to make quality music with honesty and integrity. Entirely produced by Delta and Mark B (of Mark B and Blade fame,) the natural chemistry of the union between Adelaide’s finest freestyle phenomenon and one of the UK’s most prominent and industrious producers is clearly evident in the opening bars of the album.
For some time now, Delta has been widely respected across the globe for his incomparable knowledge of obscure old vinyl, but Delta’s profile as an outstanding MC was raised prolifically with the release of his contribution “For The Kings†for the ‘Culture Of Kings 2’ compilation, the first Australian Hip Hop album to be added as ‘Feature Album of the Week†on Triple J. Delta’s notoriety as a formidable freestyle MC increased significantly when he won Melbourne's inaugural Revolver MC Battle in 2001. First prize resulted in the vinyl pressing of his ‘Paperweight’ EP, showing that he could translate these skills onto wax. 'Paperweight' quickly sold out and has now become a collector's item. His gift for battling was further solidified with his victory in the Out4Fame OZ vs. NZ MC Battle For Supremacy in 2003.
In 2005 Delta signed with Australia’s longest-standing and internationally renowned hip hop label- the influential Nuffsaid Records. With rumours of his full-length solo album flooding hip hop forums and sending whispers throughout the underground, he flew to London armed with a bag full of dusty old vinyl to record this pioneering project with Mark B. The pair knew that this would bring out the best in his musical approach and give the album a more universal feel. To quote the artist himself from the title track, “No filler, and no scamsâ€.
Now, after his return from recording in the UK, and fresh from a year of shows performing alongside hip hop heavyweights, Guru (Gangstarr), Jean Grae, Jurassic 5, Lyrical Commission, Paul Nice and Ugly Duckling, Adelaide’s Delta is poised to make a serious impact with the release of ‘The Lostralian’.
‘The Lostralian’ exemplifies Delta’s diversity as a wordsmith as he ranges from neck snapping battle lyricism on “Heat Haze†to militant and socially conscious with Skinnyman (UK) on “One Less Gunâ€, which sees them calling out gun praising MC’s. The lead single “Mayday†with it’s pounding timpani drums and mindblowing horns has quickly become the Australian hip hop anthem, and Delta’s most revered tracks “One More Dose†and “The Rut†have been remastered and included on this release- both withstanding the test of time and proving how relevant his music and lyrics are.
“The Lostralian†also features stellar collaborations with Murs (Living Legends), DMC champion Mr Thing, Solomon Theta, and Mojo The Cinematic (of Dujeous NYC) who recently received The Source magazine’s “Unsigned Hype†accolade. As a perfect finishing touch to the album, the Australian posse cut “The End is Here†featuring Delta, Motion, Trem (Lyrical Commission) and the legendary Prowla, provides an intense energy reminiscent of Main Source's classic “Live at the BBQâ€.
Welcome to Lostralia.
With an unmatched reputation for shining light on crazy fresh MC’s, turntablists and producers, Nuffsaid kills it again with its latest platter ‘Now You Know’. Following on from the recently released and widely acclaimed compilation ‘In Case You Didn’t Know’ Nuffsaid brings it home with a 13 track mix of Australian and international artists, handpicked by executive producers Prowla and Menace.
Long before compilations were the flavour of the month, Nuffsaid has been crucial to the development and support of Australian hip hop culture for over 10 years, with some of our most respected rappers, DJs and producers all getting their first start on a Nuffsaid release. With a catalogue of more than 20 titles to date, ‘Now You Know’ introduces emerging talent to the listeners and continues to platform celebrated legends, local and beyond.
Heads will be more than sated with new tracks by Lazy Grey (Karsniogenics/Brothers Stoney) who comes with the title tune “Now You Know†and Bob Balans (Lyrical Commission) who keeps it dark with straight up lyricism and the intense wordplay for which he is renowned.
Underground hip hop aficionados won’t be disappointed with just-in deliveries by Clandestein (Perth) and newcomers Cheapskates who have been reppin Melbourne proud. Solomon Theta (formerly Solomon Klepto) brings spark with “Spoken Fist†in which he draws parallels between his life passions-hip hop and martial arts.
An artist well respected in Australian and international circles, Tumi (Republic of South Africa) continues to bless ears with his two sided self-portrait, whilst New Jersey vet (and long time NuffSaid collaborator) Shawn Lov offers feeling and depth with fellow countryman Drunken Monk. Appearing on the 2002 release ‘Nuffsaid Presents’, Genelec and Memphis Reigns who hail from Santa Cruz, LA keep the connection alive with “Strike†and Stahhr the F.E.M.C.E.E (Atlanta) uplifts with the head nodder “You Like Itâ€.
Never short of changing up styles on the instrumental production tip, NuffSaid offers Bloom (‘In Case You Didn’t Know’) another chance to shine, as well as old school legends Briztronix and Toroniks who was bassist for instrumental band Madlock and also featured on the highly influential first Nuffsaid compilation ‘Rock da City’. In the spirit of that release, DJ J-Red rears his head again and shows us his formidable skills as part of Fingertricks Turntable Artists (FTA) with 2005 VIC DMC winner, Perplex and G-Smooth.
‘Now you know’ features long awaited new production by the legendary Prowla as well as Melbourne’s Ciecmate (Hospice Crew/Broken Tooth Records CEO), Derm and many more.

Nuff Said Presents - In Case You Didn’t Know
PRESS RELEASE
‘In Case You Didn’t Know’ marks a new era for Australia’s longest standing and most influential hip hop label,
Melbourne’s Nuffsaid Records. Spanning well over a decade, Nuffsaid Records possesses an unparalleled catalogue
of quality releases and featured artists. From the seminal tape-only releases in the early 90’s like MC Que’s ‘Tellin It Like
It Is’ and Prowla’s ‘Water’ which influenced an entire generation of Australian hip hop artists; to artist albums from
Plutonic Lab and more. Then there are the ground-breaking compilations such as ‘Beats From the Vaults’ and ‘Rock Da
City’, which still stands as the best Australian hip hop compilation EVER released.
Always at the forefront, Nuffsaid is set to drop their newest gem, ‘In Case You Didn’t Know’ on CD and Double Vinyl.
Executively produced by Prowla and Menace, this unique hip hop compilation features new tracks from well established
and relatively new artists both from Australia and overseas. Renowned for discovering and releasing the next generation
of hip hop artists, Nuffsaid have capitalised on their pool of creative people by networking producers, MC’s and DJ’s
who had not previously worked together, in order to deliver this 13 track certified classic. After carefully selecting the
artists, Prowla and Menace worked closely with them to develop an integrated, cohesive sound and bringing artists such
as Dedlee (‘Overdue’ EP & ‘Rock Da City’) out of the woodwork to come correct with the title track seemed an
appropriate and natural choice.
‘In Case You Didn’t Know’ features the vocal stylings of some prolific MC’s like Lyrical Commission’s Brad Strut,
Shawn Lov from the US, South Africa’s Tumi and ‘ladiesluvhiphop’ instigator MC Que. The compilation is balanced by
underground favourites such as Field Trip, J-Flow, Lost Souls and Eastern Bloc with some sublime talent from the
next generation including Joske, Clinic, A.I (animal instinct) and Third World Militia (Kaos and ‘2005 Australian &
New Zealand MC Battle for Supremacy Winner’, Justice). There are no shortage of DJ’s ripping it on the cut with
Victorian DMC winner, Perplex, FX, Smitten and Australia’s most technically precise - Prowla, all adding the finishing
touches with their handiwork.
Complemented by fresh (and symbolic) artwork courtesy of Discourse, ‘In Case You Didn’t Know’ delivers a refreshing
diversity of topics, tempos and moods from an array of heralded underground producers including, Prowla, Jase,
A.S.I.P, Lewis One, Dan Murphy, C1, Raven, Custodian of Records, and Bloom who finishes off the musical journey
with an intricately crafted instrumental.
This is hip hop history right here, ya heard?
