Born from a teenage prostitute who tried to sell them for a pitcher of beer, The May Petals prospered. The acclaimed trio from Hastings, MI offers catchy original old-fashioned down home country and bluegrass music.
The May Petals have already created a buzz all over Michigan for their Hank Williams-esque songs of heart ache and lament, plus their renditions of old favorite gospel tunes such as "The Old Rugged Cross" and "When the Roll is Called Up Yonder."
The group consists of Chuck Whiting on lead vocals and acoustic guitar, Mitch Myers offering up his innovative mandolin technique, and Josiah Timmerman keeping things in order on the bass.
Their debut album, Regina was released in 2006 and features 8 all original songs, the album was produced by Andrew Whiting.
