Recognition of the problem and

when they lie to you, they are lying
to themselves.
Addiction is a mental obsession
allied to a behavioural dys-
function. Coming off it is as painful
as coming off drugs. 'Cold kitten',
it has been called - the equivalent
of 'cold turkey'.
The more time you live in a cat-
infested area, the greater the
conviction takes hold that cats are
addicts too. They are addicted to
people.
So stand by for the big clash of
