A book doesn’t need to be written to explain what the Band Repentance is all about. In fact, the only book that could define what the four Christian men from Kansas strive to accomplish is the Bible. Through the medium of heavy youth-geared music, Repentance wants them to see, hear, feel, and realize that God wants and loves them.
Repentance measures success by obtaining the goals they set for each performance. Such would include fearlessly speaking Christ, lovingly befriending everyone they meet, and conducting the concert and music with the professional style and quality of today’s Christian and mainstream artists. Repentance wants to see that everyone is out of their seat and at the foot of the stage, "rocking outâ€.
Above all, Repentance is influenced by Jesus Christ. Each member has experienced the saving power of salvation, and just wants, in a modernistic musical approach, to share it with all people everywhere. In addition though Christian and mainstream artists such as, The Afters, The Almost, Jeremy Camp, Day of Fire, Decyfer Down, Disciple, Emery, Falling Up, Norma Jean, Underoath, and countless other Christian artists have aided in their musical journey. With these influences, Repentance’s sound can be easily classified as a classic approach to modern rock with searing solos, matchless vocals, powerful bass lines, and beats that will force you to get up and move.
Repentance hopes that anyone attending a concert will leave knowing that the music was good, their convictions true, and the fans are pumped and ready for another show.
