Former member of the Virgin Records R&B recording duo, Deja (formerly known as Aurra). The duo consisted of Curt Jones and Starleana Young. Mysti Day replaced Young for the duo's second album, "Made To Be Together" , (produced by Teddy Riley) which produced the top 20 Billboard single of the same name.This Texas native is a singer, songwriter, producer and musician. Day started singing and leading songs in a Baptist church choir at a very early age, which was encouraged by her mother, a church organist. Through the consistent amens of the congregation and the gratification she felt for the art of song, Mysti Day knew she was destined to become a star.
After a brief professional modeling career, Mysti Day felt she was unable to express her total element in the profession. She “sat in� at a popular local nightclub and was promptly hired by the live jazz band performing. Soon after, Day started performing at other venues and obtained her own band
Since that moment, Mysti Day has been no stranger to the music industry. She has performed locally, nationally and internationally with many top acts like Eric Benet, El Debarge, Babyface, Teddy Riley, ZAPP, Glenn Jones and Miles Jaye, to name a few. Day's stage performance is dynamic, emotional, soul stirring and energetic. While Mysti Day expresses her own unique style, she has been highly influenced by the vocal styles of such artists as Chaka Khan, Aretha Franklin and Phyllis Hyman as well as the production and writing techniques of Marvin Gaye and Stevie Wonder. Mysti Day heads the music production company, Lady Go Diva Productions and is also one-half of the production team, ADAK Sounds, in which she plans to write and produce for recording artists who share similar goals in the music and entertainment industry. She is CEO of Trendition Entertainment. Day works as producer and writer for gospel ventures.

The upcoming CD, Let's Get Acquainted, written and produced by Mysti Day with composers such as Glenn Piper and Ernie G., was inspired by different experiences; Love lost, (as inspired by the tracks; You Gotta Go and Head Trippin); Love gained, (referring to the title You Came Into My Life); Love learned, (descriptive of the explosive cd-titled ballad, Let's Get Acquainted); and Love earned, defined by the up-tempo track, Make Time For Me. Says Day, I don't think there is anything wrong with a woman taking the initiative, which inspired the Let's Get Acquainted composition.
