One Tree Hill Season 5 PROMO (OTH returns January 8)
The CW has decided to premier the 5th season of OTH on January 8, 2008, not in September as was usually the case. In the meantime, the titles for the first 12 episodes of season 5 have been released, but they may still change. Also, some new photos of the cast filming season 5 have surfaced on the internet. Also, the names of the actors taking 2 new roles on OTH have been released.

The CW has released the 4 of 6 One Tree Hill Diaries!
Now, we get to figure out what's happened to the characters over the past 4 years of their lives. Remember, season 5 (starting January 8 at 8 PM eastern, 7 PM central, and after that, its normal time will be Tuesday nights at 9 PM easter, 8 PM central) will be 4 years after high school! It will be like watching a new show! We will have to figure out what's been happening in the characters' lives that made them the way they are now (4 years later).

November 19, 2007 (Burbank, California) - The CW Network’s hit drama "One Tree Hill†returns for season five with a special two-hour premiere on Tuesday, January 8 (8:00-10:00 p.m. ET).
Subsequent episodes will take over the 9:00-10:00 p.m. ET timeslot beginning Tuesday, January 15, following an encore presentation of “Crowned: The Mother of All Pageants.†“Reaper†will return to the schedule with original episodes later in the season.
The fifth season of “One Tree Hill†will be unprecedented in the annals of television drama, as the show leaps forward four years. Season four ended as the young characters graduated high school and season five begins, post-college, four years later. Some of the characters have found success while others have failed. Some are the same, some are very different. And while their storylines will actively move forward, the show will also dip into the past, returning to incidents and events of the last four years, sometimes for a moment or a scene, other times for an entire episode. “One Tree Hill†was created by Mark Schwahn and is executive produced by Schwahn, Mike Tollin, Brian Robbins and Joe Davola. “One Tree Hill†is a Tollin/Robbins Production in association with Warner Bros.

The CEO of the accusing party (that OTH supports rape) has released a letter they sent to Mark Schwahn.
In it, they basically acknowledge the misunderstanding and say that they now know OTH would never do such a thing.

SEASON 5 AIRS ON JANUARY 2, 2008 (NEW CLIPS COMING SOON)
According to Stephen Colletti and others, season 5 of One Tree Hill will premier on Wednesday, January 2, 2008. It will be a full season of 22 episodes. In the meantime, the CW will bring out "online diaries" of the characters' lives during the 4 years of college. Remember, these 4 years during which the character went to college will be skipped between seasons 4 and 5. In other words, when season 5 airs, it will be 4 years later than season 4.
It will be a new beginning. We will be left wondering what happened in those 4 years, just like when OTH first began and we were wondering "what happened in their pasts that made them this way." Of course, it will still be the same show we all love. Besides, we all know that many great shows fail to keep the audience interested when the characters go to college. This way, we can skip the failure phase (college years) and go to a new phase.
Nobody has done this before! It will be exciting, like all the characters of your old favorite show came back together to make a brand new show together!

RACHEL & CHASE NOT "major characters" IN SEASON 5
According to Stephen Colletti (Chase), he and Rachel are on the "maybe" list for next season... They are not full-on characters yet! It seems like next season will focus mostly on the main 5 characters (Lucas, Nathan, Haley, Peyton, and Brook), and less on other characters...

One Tree Hill has been renewed for season 5 by the CW. It received a full 22 episode order. The only downside is that we have to wait in January 2008 for it. But, this means we will have a nearly hiatus-free 22 episodes! No break!
CW President Dawn Ostroff says that when the show returns, it will be 4 years into the future. This current season (season 4) will end with the characters graduating High School. Next season (season 5, January 2008) will begin with the characters graduating college. During our wait until January, the CW will provide "video diaries" of the characters and what they are doing in college. When the show returns, there will be flashbacks to inform us why the characters are the way they are, or how they got to their new state, etc.
As of right now, there is no decision on the day and time One Tree Hill will air (but it will likely be the same as it is now, after Top Model).

Remember, even something like this (buying an episode) is really great for the show! It supports it so much.
