About Me
Music has been a big part of my life from an early age. Playing guitar and singing with my dad as a youngster, putting together the ultimate road trip mixes in high school, and then jumping head first into the art of mixing around '96. I began mixing in Illinois, but it was in Memphis I really learned about the music and craft of the dj. Soon gigs in Memphis at small clubs turned into playing shows alongside Sasha and Digweed, Paul Oakenfold, Scott Hardkiss and many many more. During that period I also jumped around to other cities to gig as well. St. Louis, Indianapolis, Cincinatti, Nashville, Little Rock, New Orleans and Baton Rouge are a few of the places that I've played, and most more than once. The beach called my name after a few years in Memphis, and after a brief stay with my folks up in Effingham I moved to Destin, Florida. I helped open the Hard Rock Cafe in the Destin Commons, where I bartended, djed, and threw a couple of parties. I also had the honor of working for a Master Chef, Jack Shoop at his restaurant/lounge "Cafe Bianco/Cava Blue Bar". There I bartended and djed three nights a week...which actually turned into a crazy little place to be. I learned beach life is like no other, and was hooked on the emerald green waters/white sandy beaches of Destin. But alas, my path has led me back to Memphis. I'm the Assistant General Manager at Bluefin "edge cuisine and sushi lounge" downtown Memphis on Main St. I dj and organize events in Memphis, and also try to help others in any way I can. Thursday through Saturday I'm the resident dj at Bluefin and get to play pretty much whatever material I want. (House, Techno, Prog, Breaks, Downtempo) My next venture is into production, where my heart has always truely been. I live in the heart of Cooper/Young in Midtown and its nice to have my circle of friends in Memphis back. Although I'll miss sunny Florida...Memphis is home. (for now)After an amazing 2 1/2 year vacation in Destin...my path has led me back to Memphis. I'm the Operations Manager at Bluefin "edge cuisine and sushi lounge" downtown Memphis on Main St. Soon I'll be working with Silver Promotions organizing some events, while also organizing events for Bluefin. Thursday through Saturday I dj at Bluefin as well, and play pretty much whatever I want. (Prog, Breaks, House) Got a house in the heart of midtown and its nice to have my circle of friends here back. Although I'll miss sunny Florida...Memphis is home.
