About Me
Welcome to Atlanta! Although I am originally a native of Buffalo, NY, I have benefited greatly from the southern experience. Combine that with direct ties to my extended family in the Midwest and along the East Coast, and it will be clear to you why our catalog has become so diverse. My first experience in music was with the old school tracks I heard as I fell asleep late nights as a youngster. Artists like Stevie Wonder, Earth Wind and Fire, The Isleys, Al Green, etc. As I got older, my personal preference was for the music of artists like KRS-1, Sugar Hill Gang, UTFO, Kurtis Blow, EPMD and A Tribe Called Quest. But when I reached college, I was all about listening to Mobb Deep, Grand Puba, Boot Camp Click, Smif n Wessun, Wu-Tang, The Lox, Biggie, Nas, Jay-Z, Dr. Dre, or any of the other hot artists featured on the latest DJ. Clue Mixtape. Fast forward to today, and most of what I listen to is from artists who have been in the game 10 years or more. . .And I still pick up the hottest east coast mix CD’s for inspiration! Being in “The A†I cant help but to respect the way the hot southern artists of today get down. The influence of 20 plus years of Hip-Hop and R&B go into each “Big T†exclusive for the sake of “The Team†– Insomniac!
