I am a proud Navy wife, and mother to the best 11 year old boy I could ever hope for. Those two guys are my life. I’d give my life up for them in a heartbeat, but I guess any woman would do that for her husband and/or child. I am very close to my family. I’m over protective of my brother so girls watch out; I will fight for him. I’ve been called a “Daddy’s girl” by numerous people but I think most girls are. I am exactly like my mother, just not so extreme. (Anyone who knows her and I will agree and will know what extreme things I have traits of but simply aren’t as extreme as her in them, if that makes any sense.)My friends tell me that I am a very good friend to have. I’m a loyal, trustworthy and always listen before I assume and give good advice. However, they also say I am extremely honest but sometimes that can be a downfall because I’m not afraid at all to tell anyone how I see it. I’ve learned that truth can hurt but don’t ask me unless you really want me to tell you. I’m not the type that will tell you what you want to hear, I pretty much tell you how it is.For those who don’t know I have an autoimmune disease called Scleroderma. Don’t be afraid to ask me questions about it. I feel one of the best things I can do for myself and others is to educate people on the disease. Unfortunately it has caused extreme lung damage and now I have to wear oxygen 24/7. It’s been a challenge to deal with not just for myself but for my friends and family. I have a new motto for life it’s very simple its: “I do what I can; when I can.” I try not to let the disease define who I am. I stay as positive as I can and try to live each day as it’s my last.
