James Bass

James Bass hails from Manchester though currently resides in Leeds where he studies degree level Music Tech to further advance his knowledge, experience and methods. His distinct sound and style is probably derived through the delicate balance he manages to strike between his, hard to contain, creativity and his controlled ability as a studio technician.
Currently the driven 20 year old is committed to pushing forward the Drum & Bass movement, constantly networking, organising and promoting nights as well as producing gritty new material forthcoming on G-13, Motion Sensor, Federation, Good4Nothing & Uselessplastix.
Through his self motivation and passion James Bass continues to make a mark, playing at several big name events such as; Hysteria, Transmission, Jump, Genetic, Hetic Harmoniz, Platoon & other underground raves and parties. In addition he also has a prime time slot on Radio Frequency 88.1FM, 9pm - 11pm (GTM) Every Sunday.
James runs the Leeds based 'Jump' event. Which happens every 3rd Friday of the month @ the mint club in Leeds. Promoting and pushing his favouraite Drum & Bass sound with big name DJ's, MC's & incredible vibes.
His prowess as a DJ, technical ability as a cutting edge artist, and his genuine passion for the genre have coined him "the one to watch out for" by several publications. His sound and determination is certainly making a distinct mark on the Drum & Bass scene and, if his initial efforts are anything to go by, you should expect big things!
