I'm a life-long fan of Seattle Supersonics basketball and Seattle's musicians. I host the Evening Jazz program on 88.5fm KPLU Tacoma/Seattle (kplu.org) from 7:30 to midnight each weeknight. I'm also one of 4 hosts of the local music show Audioasis on 90.3fm KEXP Seattle (kexp.org).I hosted KCMU's Live Room program from '93 to '02, hosting and interviewing Northwest bands/musicians each Saturday night for a full hour - mostly filled with that band/musicican's live performance. I estimate we produced nearly 400 programs with over 350 artists/bands, all on a volunteer basis. during that time I also hosted an overnight show once a week on KCMU - for about 2 years. I'm now thrilled to be part of the longest running local music show on Seattle-area radio, Audioasis.My first shift at KPLU was on Christmas Day in 1990, I was an overnight board-operator for a couple years before filling in hosting several of the overnight jazz programs. in the mid-90's I became the host of KPLU's Saturday Jazz Matinee and in '98 moved to the full-time post on Evening Jazz.I hope to one day have a full-time job in the Northwest music industry that allows me more time to spend with my friends and family.
