Never missing the sounds of laughter.
I would be unaware that others exist around me.
Of all their sorrows and miseries I would be free.
In my solitude I would never know feelings.
As I would swim by, I would think them slight passings.
I would no longer long for his hand on my thigh.
I would not know touch nor reason to cry.
Warm and cold would be all that there would be.
Devotion would sink to the bottom of the sea.
I yearn to be a fish, alone and numb.
Never again needing to use my tongue.
I will swim to where it would be ever so dark.
Where no one would find me, not even a shark.
