I am working with a team on a larger project, but if it were not for writing "Approaching the Gallows" (Sefronia777.com) I would be much more anxious than I am now. No doubt about it, I would have less familiarity with the unique contradiction filled world of the web.
I still check this page because this is one of the only sites where people seemed to try to "get it" (the scenario of the book) and I have had some brilliant interpretations sent my way. I have also met some very cool people through this site, and that is why I return.
One of the main goals of the site was to see how "progressive sites on the web," including "progressive musical groups" reacted to the ideas regarding gender and race that the book addressed as problems. Ironically, it seemed like the most "progressive" sites translated into a sense of smugness among the participants.....and blantant sexism, racism, homophobia (why don't men get that calling each other "gay" is projection?) and zeroes makin' out they are heroes "fightin' the power" all day long on their mommy's computer. Little bitches calling me a "nurse" cause they can't conceive (pun intended) of a woman with a more advanced degree. Haaa! Don't let names fool ya! I have met the Comic Book Guys of the world on every type of site or board who sit in front of their computer writing "worst post EVER" after every new post. God Bless Them. At least they aren't harming anyone. THANK YOU FOR STOPPING YOUR GENE POOL VOLUNTARILY. Needed to get that PSA in there. Kay, rant done for now.
