"The future of film is in the hands of the poet and his camera. Hidden away are the followers of a faith in 'pure cinema,' even in this unlikely age. They make their modest 'fireworks' in secret, showing them from time to time; they pass unnoticed in the glare of the 'silver rain' of the commercial cinema. Maybe one of these sparks will liberate the cinema."
Kenneth Anger, September, 1951

LAWSON WELLES:
Writer, director, producer and star of the feature length neo-film noir murder thriller now in post-production.
Being that a picture can tell a thousand words, my MySpace photo gallery can speak volumes about me - past, present as well as future.
That being said, I have traveled to fourteen different countries around the globe and will journey to more at either the drop of a hat or an intriquing possibility of discovering another "undiscovered country" (this applies to the exploration of the uncharted regions of the mind and body as well)....
I live a few miles away from H.P. Lovecraft's stomping grounds, in a cozy, rather spacious Victorian nestled atop the Highlands of River Falls, where the wealthy elite once romped and played and socialized before the neighborhood went South and undesirables such as myself moved in. I live in the shadow of the hospital where my hero, John Huston, lay dying. So up here in the Highlands of River Falls, the director who created the film noir genre with THE MALTESE FALCON passed away, and his spirit then possessed the soul of the director who might just bring it to new heights... or its utter destruction with CRICKET SNAPPER. We'll just have to see about that, my friends. Say your prayers, folks!
And I am loved by a Golden-Haired Goddess who has brought the very best out in Me. If you thought I was good before I met Her, you ain't seen NOTHING yet. ;-)=
Welcome to my home here at MySpace. Come freely and of your own will, and leave a little of the happiness that you bring.
Very Sin-cerely Yours,
Lawson Welles
