Downhill skiing has to be my favorite sport, and thus, I enjoy winter much more than summer. Part of it has to do with the fact I'd rather be too cold than too warm. Unfortunately I don't spend nearly as much time outside as I would like, hopefully this summer I'll do some mountain biking, some hiking, some backpacking, and things of that sort. I like to just sit outside sometimes and watch whatever is (or isn't) happening. Music is another big interest. I've played piano for around 10 years now, and I'm sort of average but I love to play. It's a great way to relax. Recently I also began playing guitar, I'm not that good, but it's fun. Math is the greatest school subject. It has deffenite rules; there aren't any different ways to interpret it. It's constant and controlled. I enjoy assembling things or designing things; my favorite child-hood toy was legos.

I'll listen to anything, but I prefer alternative. One exception is that there is very little rap or hip-hop that I can stand. My favorite artist is Ben Folds; I listen to a lot of other stuff, but in the end I usually come back to folds. I have CD's (CD's, yes...I'm still too cheap to buy an Ipod) of Ben Folds, Ben Folds Five, My Chemical Romance, Yellowcard, Franz Ferdinand, The Killers, Dashboard Confessional, Snow Patrol, Jimmy Eat World, P.O.D., 3 Doors Down, Hoobastank, Green Day, Weezer, Audioslave, Angels and Airwaves, and a few others. My favorite song is by Ben Folds and its called "The Best Imitation of Myself." For me, it says what I can't. A few other favorite songs are Good Riddance (Green Day), Philosophy (Ben Folds Five), Wake Me Up When September Ends (Green Day), The Reason (Hoobastank), The Luckiest (Ben Folds), I'm Not Okay (My Chemical Romance), The Perfect Situation (Weezer), Still Fighting It (Ben Folds), and Hands Open (Snow Patrol).
My taste in movies is pretty similar to my taste in music. In other words, I'll watch nearly anything; although I do prefer to avoid musicals... Some good movies are U-571, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, 50 First Dates, I am Sam (no, not because that happens to be my name), A Beautiful Mind, Nacho Libre, Saving Private Ryan, The Patriot, The Lord of the Rings series, the Star Wars series, The Ring, Pay it Foreward, The Butterfly Effect, Signs, The Village, ...
I watch what's on...and unless its a really good show I'm a surfer during commercials. I like Mad TV, SNL, CSI (any of them), That Seventies Show, Whose Line is it Anyway, South Park...I used to be an fan of quite a few WB shows, but they just don't appeal to me anymore. Smallville in its first few seasons was the best. Most my free time I spend doing other things, on the computer, playing piano, just doing whatever. Being a college student I don't get to do that much tv watching... pretty busy most of the time.
I enjoy reading a good book, although I don't often have the time for it anymore. I read Sum of All Fears by Tom Clancy, and it was really interesting, but a bit over my head. Michael Chricton has some very good books like Prey, or Timeline (the book was much better than the movie). Angels and Demons, and the Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown were good reads, but you have to keep in mind that they're fiction. Dan Brown has some other good books too, like Digital Fortress. I've been told a lot of books that I should read, but just haven't had the time to.
I don't really pick specific people out...I would say in general that I have a lot of respect for anyone who risks their life as a part of their job. Other than that, we are all people, with good and bad. People can say anything, but it doesn't mean anything till you see how they act. Wait, I do know who one of my hero's is: ...Superman!
