E.S.T.) for pioneering Christian Hip Hop group Apocalypse. In the late 1980’s Ed Grice, committed his life to Christ, and began his service in the Kingdom of God as D.J. E.S.T., with one of Holy Hip Hop’s, pioneering groups Apocalypse, in Houston, TX. The group was discovered by P.I.D., and was signed to Frontline Records, out of California. Apocalypse, also produced and hosted a Holy Hip Hop television program, that aired on local Christian television station KLTJ, and was later syndicated to other cities in various parts of the Country. Ed Grice, hosted a teaching segment, produced music, and ministered in song with a display of turntable tactics, and MC rhymes. Apocalypse, worked along side other pioneering artist like D.O.C., S.F.C., Dynamic Twins, Scott Blackwell, and others. Apocalypse, went on to become Ministers of the Underground / Secta 7, and launched a new television ministry that began with it’s coverage on one of the first National Holy Hip Hop Conference “CruVention”.Ed Grice, went on to pursue a carrier in radio, which started in the Promotions Department of KMJQ 102.1 FM, and later became the stations Programming Assistant. He performed duties between two additional sister stations, KHYS 98.5 and KYOK 1590 AM. He hosted a Holy Hip Hop Radio Show on a secular rap format (1590 Raps), hosted Sunday Morning Gospel on Majic 102 KMJQ. In 1995, after KYOK was sold to Faith Broadcasting and formatted for Gospel Programming, he served as Program Director / Station Manager, and host of the “Wake Up & Worship Morning Show”. While KYOK, was owned by Faith Broadcasting, it remained in the Gospel format four years then was sold to ABC, and formatted for Radio Disney. As members of Word of Power World Outreach Center, in Houston, TX, where Keith & Angel Palmer are the Pastors, Ed & Dawn Grice, served as Worship Team Leaders, in the mid to late 1990’s. With Pastors that embraced his contribution to the Body of Christ, through Holy Hip Hop Ministry, a platform was created to embrace the art form of expression in regular Worship Services. Allowing turntables and DJ scratching, beat machines and hip hop mixes of worship songs. Through this experience a vision arose to create a crossroad where Hip Hop and Praise & Worship meet together. In 1999, Ed & Dawn Grice, founded Ephesians Six Ten Productions, and began providing audio production services like radio commercials, audio for video production, and phone on hold messaging for a number of Churches, Ministries and Businesses. Aiding the Body of Christ, by providing those services became a springboard for a return to music ministry with “Chronicles of Worship-The CrossRoad Mix Show”, the manifestation of a vision that began in the late 1990’s.“Chronicles of Worship-The CrossRoad Mix Show”, utilizes a mix tape style approach as a platform for a scripture rich exhortation to worship, honor, and emphatically praise God. The purpose of the "Chronicles of Worship", series is to provide a praise & worship centered resource for those who have been brought into the Body of Christ through holy hip hop ministry, or believers that enjoy and appreciate hip hop expression. Ed Grice, describes "Chronicles of Worship", as a movement to validate Hip Hop as a viable art form of expression for Praise & Worship. You can expect hard beats and rhymes, dramatized scripture narration, and throne room worship all in the Hip Hop musical expression.
