About Me

Here is an updated about me section as of July '07. I am sick right not so i won't write too much but we have an every growing list of musicians that have been through here.
The inimitable Dave Eggar brought through a great list of musicians - Leni Stern (of Saleif Keita and others), Billy Martin (Medeski Martin & Wood), Shane Shanahan (Yo Yo Ma's Silk Road Project) for a recent multi composer record he is producing. As ever, Dave brought his genius and the genius of others in and it was fantastic to listen to and be present for.
**Quite recently we had GRAND NATIONAL in to do a live studio recording to append the US release edition of their second album on Recall Records. That was great fun. They showed up here at midnight after we'd been mixing all day and we tracked and mixed it in time for mastering the next day. Keep an eye open for these guys
We've had the BRAVERY in to work on the second record which was produced by Brendan O'Brien. The songwriting is better than the first and there is some real quality there. I like this record much more than the first that we did here.
What else. . . we had Bess McCreary through here to do a live jazz date which was a mountain of fun - three horns, Dave Cook on piano, drums, upright bass and Bess singing. Recorded with old school techniques it has so much vibe and at times feels like those old records. I really enjoy listening to this record when I have free time. Currently though, I have no free time.
Recently, engineer producer Nic Hard has brought some super talented folk through here such as The Ropes. Toppy, Sharon and Nic have created something super and you have to check it out when you get the chance. Nic also had the Cloud Room through here and did some live string recording for some other groups he's working for.
I have just begun a record for a fantastic band called Licorice. We are making some great sounds and pushing each other to go farther. All you Licorice fans are going to love it. Also about to begin working on Scott Burg's new record. We'll have Dan Reiser on drums (Marcy Playground, Norah Jones, Martha Wainright) and Tim Luntzel (Bill Frisell, Gillian Welch, Norah Jones). Should be great.
