"When Im right Im right..and when Im wrong I could of been right ..so Im still right, cause I could of been wrong."
Born in Seattle, Capo-G (Christopher Henderson) lost his mother to
an unknown cause at the age of 2 months and was abandoned by his
Father when he was just 2 years old. Subsequently Capo-G was adopted
from Family Services. Capo-G began getting into trouble at the age of 10,
and by the age of twelve had already spent time in juvenile detention.
It was at this age that Capo-G decided that he was going to be a rapper.
In 1994, Capo-G's parents decided to move to St. Louis for a change of scenery
in the hopes that Capo-G would settle down, but the move only served to
cause more trouble. In 2002, Capo-G was sentenced to 18 months in prison.
That 18 months strengthened his resolve to realize his dream of becoming
a rap star as his rhyming skills were honed during the long hours spent in his cell.
Since his release, Capo-G has been on a mission to become
one of hip-hop's biggest stars. He has since recorded several songs
with production credits from Koko (Basement Beats, Nelly's
"Over & Over Again" and the Bad Boy II Soundtrack's "Shake Your Tailfeather,"
Omar Santana (international break-beat Producer), and Wyshmaster (Twista's "Talk Hard and Disturbing The Peace's "Come See Me"). He has performed in performed in 34 shows in the last year between St. Louis and Orlando - headlining 22 of them.
At 24 years of age, the single rapper has made a sincere and successful effort to remain trouble free with all available time devoted to music and the promotion of his music. With a smooth outer confidence combined with his inner anger, Capo-G creates a perfect picture of urban life as a young person today sees it. Capo-G's view on life and attitude towards the world transcend race and gender with lyrics that anyone can relate to. His music deals with everything from relationships to the death of close friends. It is the culmination of his
experiences and personal qualities that make Capo-G the true sound of St. Louis that can reach the far corners of the world.
