Lots of things...Music, Pow Wows, Renaissance Faires, sewing period clothing for RenFaire (peasant stuff, not the fancy things nobility would wear), going to see the Cubbies or the Sox, having a few cocktails with friends, or hanging out with my kids and grandkids.
OK, so I do some Grandma things too, like knitting and crocheting or making costumes for the grandkids. I would love to get into photography more, but never seem to find the time. Very interested in home improvement, but don't seem to find time or money for that either :-( Someday.....
People who enjoy music and like to have a good time...life's too short.
Am I Right Side Up Or Upside Down
Or Am I Dreaming?

NO ABBA....EVER!!!!Musical taste depends on my mood and the right music can keep me from losing my mind!
Favorite concerts include (of course) Dave Matthews, Foo Fighters, Tom Petty, U2 and CSNY. Wolgemut is a RenFair fave, hope they come back to Bristol soon!
Cold Water Mystic is a great local band, lots of talent and they keep you on your feet..I catch their shows as often as I can. DMB show at Toyota Park was awesome for 2nd year in a row, August show at Alpine Valley with Black Crowes...what a blast! Saw Goo Goo Dolls (woo hoo), Counting Crows (ho-hum), Ben Harper & Black Crowes in the last year or so too. Got to see Collective Soul last October the Congress Theater, they were fantastic, hope they come back to Chicago soon!COLD WATER MYSTIC kicked a$$ at the HOUSE OF BLUES!
I love all the Mel Brooks movies. I enjoy funny movies, but not stupid ones. Gotta love Office Space, Monty Python, and any movie based on a Grisham or Clancy novel. DaVinci Code, Lake House, Pirates of the Carribbean (all of them),
The Devil Wears Prada, 27 Dresses, and Enchantment were fun too.
I also like old movies, especially starring John Wayne, The Quiet Man, McClintock, the Sons of Katie Elder, etc....they are all good! Guilty pleasures are You've Got Mail, When Harry Met Sally, Dirty Dancing, French Kiss & misc other chick flicks. Did I mention Monty Python??
OK, so it's not a movie, but Spamalot was awesome (saw original cast in Chicago). Oh, and Legends of the Fall and Tombstone were just on Encore, they were great! ANYTHING WITH JOHN CUSACK OR JOHNNY DEPP...no explanation needed. Of course Dances With Wolves is an all time favorite...Little Big Man too. Smoke Signals is cool...it was filmed back home, on the Coeur d'Alene Reservation! :-)
I still have to see The Dark Knight since a lot of it was filmed across from my office...it was fun watching all the takes and retakes (RIP Heath). I need to see Sex & The City Movie, but at this point guess I'll wait for the DVD.
I may have to set aside my ABBA phobia and go see Mamma Mia...the previews look adorable! House Bunny looks cute too.
I mostly watch TLC (Trading Spaces, What Not To Wear, Clean Sweep), Discovery (Mythbusters, Dirty Jobs) History channel, HGTV, National Geographic (Dog Whisperer), A&E (Gene Simmons Family Jewels), etc. In the summer it's the Cubbies and the White Sox too, or the Bears in the fall, Bulls when I can too. I enjoy Grey's Anatomy, House,
Private Practice, Ugly Betty, Men In Trees Dirty, Sexy Money, plus reruns of Gilmore Girls, Sex & The City, Will & Grace, Friends and Two and a Half Men. For some reason I'm hooked on Little People, Big World, Jon & Kate Plus 8, but I refuse to watch stuff like Dancing With the Stars and American Idol crap. I probably watch too much TV!
Anything by John Grisham, Dan Brown, Tom Clancy, or Steve Martini. My favorite book from the last few years has to be the DaVinci Code. Recently read a cool book about the Coeur d'Alene tribe called Landscape Traveled by Coyote and Crane: The World of the Schitsu'Umsh Coeur D'Alene Indians (by Rodney Frey) and it has some stories from my Grandmother!
My Yaya (Grandmother), she was an amazingly energetic, strong, loving and proud Native American woman. Although she never used that term, it was always Indian in her day! She was Coeur d'Alene and Kalispel and had strong beliefs in her native spiritual traditions, as well as being a devoted Catholic. I miss her...she was the glue that held our family together, we are still trying to find our way without her.
