That that is is.

About Me

I'm a 4th grade teacher. I also sing with a band, called THIRD STORY, several nights a week for good times and extra cash. I make acquaintances easily, but I'm picky about my friends. When I find someone I care about, I care about them forever. I like to give people nicknames. I'd rather be silly than serious. I hate peanuts, but love peanut butter. I have a Great Dane, a Pitbull, and a Min Pin, and they are all my babies. I love meeting new people and having new experiences. ; myspace layouts for Get this layout for your myspace page.

My Interests

I love music. Any kind. I love the guitar and singing. I'm much more laid back than I used to be, but I'm not too old to have a good time once in awhile! You can take the girl out of the bar, but you can't take the Barr out of the girl!!

I'd like to meet:

I'd like to meet people that are aware of the world around them. People who see the beauty in the smallest things and don't over-analyze every detail. I want to be surrounded by people that appreciate what they have even when they have nothing. People with ambition and drive, who refuse to settle for less than they are capable of being. I want to meet people that will try anything.

Music:

If you look in my iPod you will see the biggest mix of music. I know it's a cliche, but I really do listen to everything. I've been listening lately to The Wreckers, Panic!at the Disco, and Taking Back Sunday.

Movies:

Breakfast at Tiffany's, The Notebook, and The Labyrinth are among the very top.

Television:

Desperate Housewives and Gray's Anatomy

Books:

I read so many books I can't keep track of favorites. Maybe Catcher in the Rye.

Heroes:

My heroes are those teachers that grind away in inner cities and troubled areas and never complain. Here's to quiet angels.

Time on the Terrace

Well today I officially moved out of the house on Marshall Terrace.  I moved the important stuff out in December and have been using it as storage space, but tomorrow the lease is up.  I tho...

Job Hunt

Well I'm contemplating leaving the teaching profession. Shocker. I think it's something like 50% of teachers quit within the first 5 years. There's just something about working yourself half to death ...

A Picture of You

I want to trace you with my words. Hair wild with morning, whispering brown, a crown of bramble Eyes sharp, knowing, a tempestuous sea Skin that remembers a summer past, tinted cream glimpse of ink on...

Life Cycle of a Relationship

I woke up this morning to the growl and moan of a dog that desperately needed to pee. She glared over the side of the bed pleeding with me to uncurl myself and let her go do her duties. So reluctantly...

Passion

Recently I have had reason to question my existance as a passionate person. Get your mind out of the gutter. I'm speaking of life's passions, not the lustful kind. This week I have seen the magic of a...

Words from the Wise (relatively)

A relatively wise man once told me that in order to have a future you have to let go of the past. At first glance it appears to be just another random quote picked up from an outdated inspirational ca...

13th times the charm

I've spent my life moving from place to place. I can just about rattle off exactly how many boxes and moving vans it will take to package up my little life and move it to the next venue. I live relati...

Tacky Lawn Ornaments

Please allow me an opportunity to rant. I was walking down my street today admiring the houses and lovely little lawns. I was minus the mutt so I was noticing all the little things I don't normally se...

Details

I woke up today to a rainy, dreary, lazy kind of day.  I fought against every bone in my body that was telling me to lay on the couch and do nothing, strapped on my adidas, and headed out fo...
