About Me

J-Haze, born Justin Hobbs-Stewart in Queens, New York before moving to Hampton, Virginia after a few months, has been a fan of hip-hop since he could remember. It wasnâ€™t until realizing that he had a talent in writing songs in the 8th grade before he began to take making music seriously. Studying great mcâ€™s like Jay-Z, Notorious B.I.G., and Virginia rapper Mad Skillz, J-Haze created a style that he became comfortable with, one that allowed him to express his feelings over any type of track flawlessly. After years of local battles and recording with local group EBC, Haze has now focused his attention on expanding himself and his music to a national, and ultimately worldwide audience. With the release of his first mixtape, The Lockdown Vol. 1 (Hosted by DJ B ASHE), and the creation of his own movement, The ((*CU*)), J-Haze plans on taking the music industry by storm in an attempt to add a much needed improvement to the current state of hip-hop music by gaining a major record deal. With a unique, charismatic flow that is reminiscent of the best hip-hop artists of the past, J-Haze is definitely a name to look out for.
