About Me

Where does one go today to find music that isn't bland? Music that doesn't emphasize good looks more than musical talent? Music that doesn't..suck? Enter...Convaria. Your ticket away from the norm. Influenced by bands like Rush and Dream Theater, Convaria utilizes and emphasises instrumental talent to drive musical inspiration and composition. Transgenre songwriting shines the light of Prog right through the canvas, using styles of rock and metal, but also using polka and circus themes. The band began an just a few jams between Mike DeCrescenzo (Drums) Nick Holder (Keyboards/Percussion/Vocals) and Adam Manahan (Guitar). The group thought they might have had some potential. But where is a band without a bassist? (besides The White Stripes) After previously experimenting with another bassist, and one bassist being taken, and few bassists in their middle school at all, the group settled on drafting Andrew. Andrew turned out as a great fit to the band, and Convaria came to be. The name comes from roots of Latin and English. Varia is plural for Varium, which is Latin for "change" or "different". Con is the English prefix for "together". And so, you have "different things together". Disclaimer: This music is not perfect or error free. This is only a first draft. Please bear with us as we continue to make better material. Hope you enjoy!1. Phase 2, 2. Finale 3. Peruvian Skies (Dream Theater)I edited my profile with Thomas' Myspace Editor V4.4
