The Ivory Keys to any piano I could get my hands on have been tinkling for as long as I can remember. Influenced at an early age by a talented musical family, my path was set afoot. Whether as a form of entertainment, a time for solace or just sheer enjoyment, playing the piano, writing songs and playing baseball...were my first real passions in life. As the originator and driving force behind the band,"Mike D'Amico and Witness"...We toured the Long Island/NYC/Tri-State area playing the club and concert circuit, gaining popularity and recognition, while writing, producing and recording original soundtracks. I also have the dubious distinction of being the first, Long Island's own, "Yours for a Song", Singer/Songwriter Winner!...Professional division, @ My Father's Place, Roslyn, NY. That was then, this is now. So after an extended hiatis as a single Dad (the best Gig in the world) I'm back and writing some of my best Music and Lyrics to date, working on a diverse spectrum of material. My last release was a CD called “I Believe” featuring the foot stompin' Long Island based Country dance band "Slick City". It featured 10 originals songs…Plus, with the permission of Sir Elton John and Bernie Taupin through Universal Music Publisher’s, I recorded and released my version of “Rocket Man”…aka..."Timeless Flight." I have recently recorded a "Solo" project comprising 20 of my latest compositions at Richie Cannata's (Saxophone player for Billy Joel, Beach Boys), Cove City Studios, NY. New releases in 2009...STAY TUNED!
