About Me

Frank, Julie and Alan met randomly from other projects and local hang outs and quickly found a similar taste and approach to new music...hence E.F.G. was born. No satisfied with a single sound or single musical style, they branched out in almost everystyle and mix their unique vocal talents to catchy melodies and earwormadic leads. It's infectious. It's raunctious. It's rowdy and fun. You should take their easy going attitude seriuosly, if you like fun in your music.
EFG - Everything's F&!ng Gone - Newswire Service - Oakville:
The mixed gendre band formerly known as "EFG" have announced their official demise today.
In a press release Frankie Vomit, former lead guitar player, said, "We were moving in too many directions and the politics of music was getting in the way".
Founder and principle songwriter Alan Edge was surprized by Frankie's decision to persue a solo career. "Well it's obvious, that without Frankie's unique sound and presence, not to mention he's copyrighted the letter "F", EFG simply can't exist. We wish him well as he persues new avenues. I'm sure we'll be hearing a lot from Frankie."
Lead singer Julie Glac wasn't available for comment and other part time band members including drummer Mike Watson and bassist Rob Laszcz echoed Frankie's comments on musical politics.
Said Rob, "Well no likes to speak ill of the dead but it was obvious that Edge (rythm guitar) was a control freak. It kinda goes with the territory - musical genius and control freak. I'm hoping Frank will give me a call."
Industry insiders now speculate whether anything of substance will emerge from the wreckage known as EFG. Band Manager P.T. Timer was quite open and FRANK about the chances of a resurection of EFG. "Well, given the personalities involved, it doesn't look good. But I mean hey the Beatles sold more records AFTER they broke up didn't they? Will something emerge? I don't know. My understanding is that one of the members is currently seeking help for his bi-polar depression. The last I talked to him he said he was finished with music. But hey stranger things have happened."
EFG, while raw with enthusasim, was a great excperiment in mixed gendre muisc. Failing to solidify an single sound or muiscal type they deliberately tried to explore all facets of music; however this often lead to public confusion and an identity crisis from which the band could obviously not emerge triumphant. With minor bar hits like the Ska "Why Do You Close Your Eyes?" to the swing Jazz bliss of "Another Day Without You" they never failed to impress their audiences while working their magic. They will be missed.
