About Me
I'm a divorced mother of 2 beautiful daughters and 5 wonderful grandchildren. My daughter also has some step-children and grandchildren that I feel are like my own, so if you see some adults I call grandchildren or great-grandchildren, no, I’m not THAT old, but they ARE my family. LOL Last December I added another little one to my family. She's a Pomeranian puppy. She was just 8 weeks old when I got her and at this stage, it is like having a 2 year old child in the house! Actually worse than that, but but I love it! Not a day goes by that she doesn't make me laugh at least once!
As you can see under general interests, I love writing, especially poetry. I’ve been working on getting my Poetry and Art Site back together again. It was lost back in 2006 after being destroyed by a hacker. If you are interested in seeing it, you can contact me. Some day I hope to write a book, but that is on hold for now. I love working on my art as well and also doing almost anything on the computer!
Nature is another of my loves! Being in the outdoors and watching the wild animals is very calming for me. I don’t like to be out in cold weather though! I’ve lived in the Cincinnati area my entire life, but wouldn’t mind living somewhere that the weather wasn’t so unpredictable and didn’t get so cold in winter! I can't stand snow! Oh, it is very pretty to look at, but I can't stand to be out in it and especially can't stand to drive in it! I'm like a bear in the winter and just want to find a cozy little place and hibernate!
I enjoy laughing and having fun with friends, make friends easily and am very loyal to them. I have a lot of compassion for other people, not judgmental of others, and can't stand to be judged either! I guess that is my biggest pet peeve! Myspace has been a wonderful place for me to meet several new friends of which I have grown very close to. I had no idea you could become such good friends with people through the internet! It has been such a pleasure to meet so many of them in person too! It has amazed me just how many have been there for me through some of my toughest times. Don‘t know what I would do without some of my internet friends!
I also have an interest in the NASCAR Sprint Cup races. I’m especially interested in the 4 time cup champion Jeff Gordon, who drives the number 24 car. He is the greatest both on and off the track, in every sense of the word and his record shows it! Those who know him or have met him in person, know just how genuine he is! What you see, is what you get!
I have said for many years that I am PART Native American, but I read something once that has changed that. It said that a man was asked, “What part of you is Native American? Your arm? Your leg?†You see, you either are or you aren’t. You either claim your heritage or you don’t. There may be some who would say, “Well the same goes for being ‘White’ too. So which are you?†My blood is mixed. There is Native American, English, Irish, French, and German in my blood line. Who knows, maybe something I am unaware of too! I guess I have a choice then which I want to claim. So, how does one choose? By what is in the heart. By the path in life you choose to walk. I studied my Native American heritage and ways of life back in the early 1990s and have tried to followed the Native path. I have been registered as a Cherokee since 1993.
Last but not least, the spiritual me. I believe in “The Great Spirit†or “Godâ€. He is the creator of the universe, my Heavenly Father. I believe in Jesus Christ, the Son of God, as my Savior, and I believe that the bible is the inspired word of God and is true. I believe that when I die, I will go to a place called Heaven. Now, I will not try to force my beliefs on anyone and expect the same respect of others, that they not try to force theirs on me. I believe in freedom of religion. We all have a right to believe what we want…right or wrong. I DO love to talk about religion though, to anyone and everyone! I love to share what I believe with people one on one. I am always interested in hearing how other people believe and why. I think it helps us both to understand more about our faith. I do not take my religious beliefs lightly. Actually, I don’t think they should be called “religious†beliefs, but “spiritual†beliefs. I only use the term “religious†because that is what people seem to relate to, but it is really “spiritual†beliefs. We are spiritual beings in physical bodies. Life IS spirit.
Now, if you want to know more “about me,†don’t hesitate to ask!
