About Me

I remember eating sand when I was real young, I grew up on the beach, it was Cape Cod. I remember that I had mustache when I was 12 but my dad wouldn't let me shave yet...The kids on the school bus made fun of me. I was one of those strange, clad in black, anti-social, punk rock listening to, teens. We would give ourselves fucked up little tats. I had this old, black trenchcoat and I didn't like to take it off, it made feel safe. 18 years old, finally, work as a Garbage Man, save your money, get the hell off this sand bar! Blammo - gone, for about four months and then the money ran out. Back to the four Cs... Save your money, take some classes, drink "Old Eastham" and play Risk...Another year, We finally made it. Santa Cruz CA! The promised land, red woods, and herbs, and the Pacific. Did I ever tell you that Big D and I ran that town? Man, we had it all. Bartending at the Asti, up all night, playing frisbee down on Seabright, shit...I even made it to class sometimes. I drank so much Capt. Morgans...(insert pun here). And did I mention that the chicks dug it?, well, they did. 7 years in SC... got my degree, met a girl. Then my lady (Jenner) and I went on a tour of South America. Maybe the best thing I've done thus far...six months, 10 countries! Have you ever been to the Salar de Uyuni in Bolivia? I recommend it. I got back to the US, lived in Petaluma CA for a couple of months, then moved back to the east coast to go to grad school, got my degree, (my thesis was about the role of New England Whaling in 19th Century globalization) and now I live in New Haven CT while Jenner goes to school. Its not so bad, I play alot of NBAlive with my buddy, read alot, watch alot of TV and movies, and take walks often. I work as a research assistant, 9-5, 40 a week. I sketch, I cook, I think about plots for my pirate novel, and I try to figure out where I'm going...One of my favorite things to do is to take a random, long, meandering, walk. I don't know where I'm going right, I just wander around town until I get hungry and then I eat at whatever resturant is close by... Food serendipity. Another of my favorite things to do is to cook a big meal and then to have a conversation while eating about how the meal can be improved in the future.....I'm a member of the Big Three, we're like Stalin, Churchhill, and Roosevelt. Together we are Sethhan!!! Wonder twin powers activate...form of a puddle.

My Interests

Star Wars, Celtics Basketball, Contemperary Erotica, Pirates, Travelling, Food, Cats, Swimming, Fishing, Movies, and chill'n MySpace Contact Box from ModMyProfile.com

I'd like to meet:

friends, exfriends, friends of friends, well-wishers, people who are strange, people who like cooking and food, Rasheed Wallace (I love that guy!), people who know how to have a good conversation, and..... I guess thats it.

Music:

I'm going through this "classic rock" phase and its lasted about five years. When I go visit the Cape no other radio station is allowed in the car aside from Cape 104 - the classic, classic rock station. If I hear "radar love" by Gold Earring I might just be inspired to play some air guitar or even some air drums! I grew up on punk and hardcore" badbrains, dead kennedys, black flag, decendents, butthole surfers, circle jerks, generation x, the damned, crass. Then I went through a white boy hip hop phase: beastie boys, tribe called quest, Dr. Dre, the whole zulu nation, P.E. I also enjoy classical, Andean flute music, American folk, jazz, hair metal, and did I mention I'm really into classic rock? At spark fish in Brewster the cooks would listen to Cape 104 and try to guess what the song was within the first couple of seconds. My buddy Paul was the master of this game, typically requiring about 3 seconds before he would know the song, album, artist, and maybe even year! He is my classic rock specialist.

Movies:

Well, Star Wars, of course, thats a no brainer, Raiders of the lost Ark, Time Bandits, Platoon ("Barns has been shot seven times, and he aint dead, the only thing that can kill Barns Barns!"), Three Kings, Romeo is Bleeding, The Usual Suspects, Blade Runner, Dazed and Confuzed, Master and Commander, Jarhead, Full Metal Jacket, and Dogma.

Television:

Human Drama people!! I love it! Its the total car wreck thing, I don't want to watch but I can't stop - like when your hitting your crack pipe and it burns your lips and you want to stop hitting it but... Reality TV is just so captivating. "American Chopper", "Deadliest Season", "Survivor." I love that new game show "Deal or no Deal" Howie Madel is really getting into his role as a game show host - good for him! His agent must have called and said "Howie, I have a job for!" and Howie probably said, "I have an agent still?" The "Simpsons" are one of the most important things in my life. Although I may not remember things that happened to me yesterday I can usually tell you which episode of the Simpsons is starting in under 5 seconds - and I'm only bragging a little! I also like to watch alot of basketball. These days I am watching "Northern Exposure" on DVD. Dr. Joel Flischman in the hizzy! I also enjoy "Family Guy" and "South Park."

Heroes:

Jello Biafra, Simon Boliviar, Che, The dudes from American Chopper, Han Solo, Rocco Siegffredi, Paul Pierce, America's Firefighters, Jim Robbins, Mr. Bungle, Bruce Lee, Kevin Prestwich
