Learning to let go of all I've known, to lay hold of all I dream...

About Me

Random Facts by Leslie:
I LOVE JESUS-HE IS MY EVERYTHING! My favorite color is BLUE, I want Goobers when I go to the movies, I don't drink coffee but I enjoy going to Starbucks to get a Strawberries & Creme drink, when at Wendy's I dip my fries in my frosty, my weakness is chocolate covered strawberries, I'm crazy about MAYFIELD strawberry cheesecake icecream, I enjoy paintball, I love hiking especially near water, taking pictures, one day I want to travel and minister throughout the 10/40 Window, I love roller coasters - but not farris wheels, they absolutely terrify me- going to concerts, but I want to be nearest to the stage, singing loudly (see music interests), spending time with my friends, I long to take a roadtrip without a planned agenda, spontaneous and free worship, dancing in the rain, walking barefooted, learning about other cultures, diversity of music and expression, and well many more things because I believe you should enjoy LIFE... but that should be enough to get you started...
Lord, make me an instrument of your peace,
Where there is hatred, let me sow love;
where there is injury, pardon;
where there is doubt, faith;
where there is despair, hope;
where there is darkness, light;
where there is sadness, joy;
O Divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek
to be consoled as to console;
to be understood as to understand;
to be loved as to love.
For it is in giving that we receive;
it is in pardoning that we are pardoned;
and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.
--Peace Prayer of St. Francis
We, though, are going to love - love and be loved. First we were loved, now we love. He loved us first.
1 John 4:19 The Message
The Bible
"The Bible is not a book for the faint of heart. It is a book full of all the greed and glory, violence and tenderness, sex and betrayal that benefits mankind. It is not a collection of pretty little anique notes mouthed by pious little church mice. It does not so much nibble at our shoe, but it cuts to the heart, splitting the marrow from bone to bone.
It does not give us answers fitted through our smaller-minded questions, but truth beyond what we even know to ask."

You are a visionary with courage and enthusiasm if a little hasty at times. Your ambitious nature can be satisfied when you apply wisdom, patience and self-discipline to your vitality and zest. You have wonderful way with words and may be drawn to the communications arena where there is the potential for great success. Your generous and warm nature attracts many friends and loved ones.
The Keys to Your Heart
You are attracted to those who are unbridled, untrammeled, and free.
In love, you feel the most alive when your lover is creative and never lets you feel bored.
You'd like to your lover to think you are stylish and alluring.
You would be forced to break up with someone who was emotional, moody, and difficult to please.
Your ideal relationship is open. Both of you can talk about everything... no secrets.
Your risk of cheating is zero. You care about society and morality. You would never break a commitment.
You think of marriage as something precious. You'll treasure marriage and treat it as sacred.
In this moment, you think of love as something you thirst for. You'll do anything for love, but you won't fall for it easily. What Are The Keys To Your Heart?

Music:

I love MUSIC! Now I truly believe God has a sense of humor because ask my friends, I'm what you would call a "Prison Singer." What does that mean? I am always behind a few bars and I have lost the key... I can't clap on beat either, honest! Yet I love music! I love all types and can respect any form, my taste are as diverse as I am. I mostly only listen to Christian music, so my favorites consist of:

Jason Upton, Rita Springer, Jessie (Rogers) Goodman, Kutless, Eddie James, Disciple, Desperation Band, Chris Tomlin, Matt Redman, Charlie Hall, Misty Edwards, Israel Houghton and New Breed, Kurt Carr, Karen Wheaton, Judy Jacobs, RED, Christ for the Nations, Ever Stays Red, Oneighty (even if the lead singer was not my brother), Pocket Full of Rocks, Delirious?, Jami Smith, Jimmy Needham, Barlow Girl, Ayiesha Woods, The Benjamin Gate (*sigh* they broke up, but I love their first album), David Crowder, and many, many more.

Classics I love B.B. King, U2, Eric Clapton, Rich Mullins, Keith Green, and a few others whom have proven themselves worthy by impacting musicians today.
I love anyone who can take what they are feeling/experiencing and convey it in such a way that they can make other listeners feel it. I especially love when people use their gifts to bring glory to whom all glory is due, Christ Himself.

Movies:

More movies I love... End of the Spear, Emma, Sense & Sensibility (thanks to Christina), A Cinderella Story, Raise Your Voice (yes I like Hillary Duff movies), Oceans 11,12,& 13, most superhero movies (Daredevil was a disappointment), Invincible, The Italian Job...and so the list could go on and on and on...
